Peanuts with shell are impossible to find

Unbelievable. I still can't believe with what I found out.
I've been looking for peanuts with shell everywhere, I checked all shops, supermarkets, and also open markets, but all of them don't have them.
I asked many people, and they said, "no, we never have peanuts with shell here. Only peanuts without shell".
This is a bit frustrating as I love enjoying peanuts with shell. I like biting into peanut shells and cracking with fingers.
Are peanuts with shell available in your town?

@MarieCoyle Dad always had different gardens that he rotated crops through. Peanuts in a different garden every year. We had a potato garden, a watermelon garden, a tomato garden and a garden that we planted in green beans, green peas, corn, lettuce and cabbages.

My kids great grandparent's had a ''peanut patch'' and we enjoyed them. I had forgotten about that.

@Shasha_ It’s surprisingly hard to find some kinds of foods, just not peanuts with a shell. 
There is one restaurant chain that serves buckets of peanuts with the shell as appetizers. Before Covid, they just had you throw your shells on the floor, and with every step there would be a crunch beneath your feet.

Sometimes, it can be difficult to impossible to find certain things here. Then when that crisis is over, there is another one, or things get recalled and you can't buy them, it's an endless problem, for sure.

We in Asia can find peanuts with shell everywhere in the market. When I was still in Indonesia, I could get peanuts everyday from the nextdoor neighbors who had small shops.
That sounds nice to enjoy peanuts with shell while traveling with a train.

That's strange. I bought two big sacks of them last week at the grocery--they were on sale for $1 per bag. They were, however, salted in the shell. But my kids all love them, so I grabbed 2 of them as they usually are a lot more than that.
