Went to the Store and Forgot My Purse

Now I've heard of everything! First I took a sandwich to city park, to enjoy my lunch. The weather here is lovely, around 75 degrees F. It's a beautiful day!
I had planned to do some reading, but couldn't focus on a book. Reason? Because I realized that I'd forgotten my purse! It was laying on the bed, at home.
I didn't have my ID, driver's license or any means to stop at the grocery store. Good grief, am I losing it or what? I'm beginning to wonder if I ever had common sense, in the first place:(
But, other people I talk with say they keep forgetting this or that. So, I guess others go through these times of a mental lapse, not remembering the simple things.
I carry my purse everywhere I go. Why is this a hard thing to remember?
I believe that others on My Lot know exactly what I'm talking about.

I have my driver's license, ID and bank cards inside my purse, along with a little cash.

@AmbiePam Being Saturday, the traffic is awful. And the WalMart store is crawling with people, like ants.

I was very forgetful when I was a teenager but improved with age but now again after 60 I am experiencing the same problem. Yoga of course is helping a lot.

I didn't return to the store, this would have been too much driving:( The photo is(my granddaughter) Kaitlyn, when she was about five years old. Now, she's 21 and as sweet as apple pie!

Living in limbo isn't fun, I've done it before when we couldn't find a home and had to stay in extended stay hotel. Ugh...it was nice, yes. It had a kitchen and amenities. But it wasn't a home, and I was glad it was only for 6 weeks while we waited on the closing, etc. Keep your eyes on the prize...you'll get there!

I have had my moments but Martin spoiled me. I stopped taking a purse along when we went places together and he provided all the money we needed. Now when I got to the store I take a canvas bag and just put in my wallet,

My wallet is kept inside my purse, wherever I go. When I go into the store, I only carry my wallet.
It has everything I need inside.

I've never done this before, that I remember. Usually my purse is on my shoulder, whenever I leave in the vehicles.
