The latest waterbed concept idea

From an annoying X add

At first glance, the item in the photo might look like someone took the concept of a waterbed a step too far. According to the ad, this is a walk-in tub for two. It does look like a comfortable place to enjoy a good long soak. The clear sidewall is an interesting touch. Would you be interested in having a tub like this in your home?

I tried one for a few nights. It was okay but not great.

No. I prefer a shower. We have both tub and shower at this house but I've only taken a bath three or four times in the years we've lived here.

I prefer showers, too. Besides, our bathtubs aren't long enough for a guy my height.

@DWDavis Me, too. I'm always scrunched up in a tub.

I wouldn’t want one, but it would be fun to try it once at a fancy resort or something. It looks like it would be very relaxing for people who enjoy leisurely baths.

Yeah, as long as it wasn't a major project keeping it clean and ready to go, like hot tubs can be.

I hadn't even thought of the effort it would take to keep those clear sidewalls clean.

No I already have a 6 foot jacuzzi so no need and you would need to have a lot of room to have that one.

K and I house-sat for someone with a big jacuzzi like that. We loved it. There's not enough room in either of our bathrooms for one, though.

@DWDavis When I rebuilt my house after the fire, I had the bathroom constructed to accommodate the tub I wanted lol

We looked into having a walk-in tub; but the cost was $18,000. Waaaay too much. Enjoy your day.

For that price, I'll keep taking showers, thank you very much.

I'd try it if we were vacationing, but I don't think I'd want to maintain one in our home. We wouldn't have room for it anyway. Looks like it'd be quite comfy!

That looks like something Scarface may have in his mansion. Yes I would love it.

I think I'd like to try it as it does look very relaxing, but I don't think I'd want one in my home.

I wouldn't bother. We only have showers in this house but when we had a bath we didn't use it very much.

If by looks alone probably. Its very aesthetic. But there's more to anything than just how it looks so I have to take into consideration other things too before wanting a tub like that for my home.

Nope, I do not. I like taking showers plus it saves water.
