27 July - What I'm Thankful for Today

Today was a good day. It started early, as all my days do. Before I went to bed last night, I turned on the A/C. It was cool and comfortable when I got up this morning.
I'm thankful for the A/C today. I don't normally run it, but on days like today when it's abnormally hot, it's a blessing. I have it set to 75 F. It must be getting hotter out there. My A/C has been running constantly for the last half hour. I went outside for a couple of minutes to give my neighbor's dog her treat. It felt like the heat was sucking the air out of my lungs. My computer says it's 93 F. The news says 89 F. We're in for storms later tonight. We're in a severe weather watch until midnight.
I'm thankful for the nap I got this morning. It felt good.
I'm thankful for Canasta. There were seven of us today, so a table of three and a table of four. I was at the table of three. I didn't win, but I didn't lose either. 
I'm thankful I spent some time here with you. I have too many notifications to finish today. I'll work on it again tomorrow. It's always good to see what's happening in your neck of the woods and read how the heat is affecting you.
Okay, that's my day. Time to check in with my games and call it a night on the computer. I worked on one book for a few minutes today. I should have more time for that tomorrow too.

Heat hasn't been to bad today. It's been rainy. But I'm thankful for it, so that's a plus.

I am thankful I got a great deal on a new pair of shoes I really needed. I hadn’t bought shoes in about four years, and my sneakers were leaking water into them when it was wet outside.
It was 100 degrees here today, and the humidity really did me in.

I sometimes wish we knew if our AC was working. It would be kind of nice today with the humidity getting high. Thankful for my fan

Those are all good things to be thankful for. We had a storm last night that lasted an hour. I'm thankful that I found the yarn ball that Bailey had hidden earlier this week. (Now, I need to find the two foil balls.) I'm thankful I became creative for dinner since I'm running out of ideas. I'm thankful for central air and ceiling fans to keep me cool.
