Insanity or idiocy

Yesterday (August 2) was Earth Overshoot Day. That means that we’ve used up more of the Earth’s resources than it’s able to renew in a year. Global overconsumption and dependence on fossil fuels has the world dipping into resources that can’t be renewed and our planet can’t keep up. Renewables are the cheapest, cleanest source of electricity generation and can quickly be made use of to meet the needs of a growing population. But the Ford government (Ontario) has scrapped $231 million of renewable energy projects while funneling public dollars into polluting fossil gas plants. Not to mention opening up the Greenbelt to developers who will build on prime farmland, increasing traffic polution and reducing local food sources. Anybody know how to turn Ford and his cronies into the toads that they are?
