After my oatmeal this morning I took a nap. The oatmeal did help take care of my stomach distress.
The nap felt really good.
I have done a few things today. Even went outside for a while.
I am really wanting another nap, and I think I am going to take one.
We ate egg casserole, frozen blueberries and orange cake for our lunch. The egg casserole had potatoes, onions, peppers, bacon bits and cheese, along with the eggs.
I can just whine about the heat I guess. And take a nap. I know I am going to be hot on the bus in the afternoons as it has no a/c. I feel sorry for the kiddos.

I take as many naps as my body wants. I have not much to do and whatever I do I do it whenever I want to. This will be ttomorrow´s situation. I have 4 guests and I´m cooking little by little today.

That is a good way to prepare in advance.

Some districts have a/c and have had for years. However our bus that is equipped for the wheel chairs does not. I think the big activities busses do.

If I feel like it I have at least one nap a day, The heat just won't go away and I have some heat rash and I feel like I cannot go any farther then my chair by my PC and my fan. Morticia lies on the floor of my workroom to catch the breezes from the fan and Freddie on a chair where he seems more comfortable. Suddenly I wish I was in the North Pole,

I find I am thinking fondly of winter. I do have a/c in my office room and the cats are sleeping in here right now.

Yes, as long as the kids keep their hands inside.

@GardenGerty That should give some air circulation. Hope they keep their hands inside.

I came back from work on Friday, feeling too low on energy. I slept for most of the afternoon and the whole night. And I took few naps on Saturday too. Today I dragged myself to do a few things around the house and deliberately avoided a nap. I want to go early to bed as tomorrow is a working day.
If you can afford multiple naps, go for it if your body demands for it.

I did not get the second one, but it sounded like a good option at the time.

Until I go back to work. Then I will need to find a quiet corner to get a nap at lunch.

You may have as few as zero and as many as your heart desires.

Usually it is zero. I tried today (Sunday) and fifteen minutes in, my phone rang.

It stayed 69F here until noon with the storms but is up to 79F at 4 pm. I can hear thunder rumbling.
I take up to two naps in a day. I guess you can take as many as you want.
The egg casserole sounds delicious.

I love to make up casseroles and then just be able to reheat portions for meals. If I did not plan to go back to work I would get into a nap habit.

@GardenGerty I usually make some type of pasta with ground beef or chicken to have in the fridge so I don't have to cook as often.
I haven't worked in over 2 1/2 years. The nap habit is firmly established now.

We are not on dirt roads, thankfully, but really it is just more hot air blowing around.

The heat in my neighborhood is very intense as well since our neighborhood had a blackout this morning that lasted for four hours.

The heat is exhausting. I had two naps today. One in bed the other on the sofa. For some reason, my body will only allow me to sleep for 2-3 hours at once, even during the night. I have frequent bathroom breaks that interrupt my sleep patterns.

On a really good night I sleep about six hours before making a bathroom trek. It is no trouble going back to sleep though.

Take as many naps as your body needs.
Even though we hated our van gave out (transmission) a little over a month ago, it was rough going places in it as the a/c went out several years ago. We thought about replacing it until we found out how much they wanted to work on it. We love the car we got now, the a/c works wonderfully. We thank God for His provisions.
How long will the heat last in your area? We don't cool down, less humidity, until mid to late Oct.

It seems to be different cool downs every year. Last year it was October, and some years it is earlier. The a/c in my van is not great, but it may just need freon and a cabin filter. This seems to be especially hot right now.
