What am I doing up so early? My brother’s procedure was rescheduled for later in the day. Gee, I’m glad they didn’t call him at 6 AM (when I was scheduled to go pick him up) and tell him that. 
While he gets his polyps looked at I’ll give you another song that was on the list of songs that might not be appropriate to play after 9/11, according to the “brains” at Clear Channel Communication. Oh, lookie who I get to feature today…..
#8: Daniel - Elton John
That darn Daniel, flying to Spain! He went and agitated the Clear Channel folks….even though this song predates 9/11 by, oh, nineteen years. But the airplane trip is why this landed on the list.
This is a stunning mid tempo ballad from Sir Elton. My mom adored this song. I can understand that! It’s one of EJ’s most popular songs from his “classic” era.

Same thing about “Jet Airliner” and “Leaving on a Jet Plane.” There were also songs that mentioned New York City in the title that were on the list. [em]doh[/em[

Yes, this one is an Elton classic, mellow sounding like his song "Harmony" which comes to mind. Both songs are "pretty good company" for a sing-along.
