Oh, Those Silly Puppets

There was a marathon of Jeff Durham specials on the Vice channel this past weekend. I do get a kick out of his puppets: * Walter - Love him grumpy and all. * Bubba J - Dumb and silly. * Jose Jalapeno on a stick - acts like he is on qualudes. * Peanuts - Somewhat irritating. * Sweet Daddy Dee - Makes me want to go to New Orleans. * Melvin, the Superhero - Dumb. * Achmed, The Dead Terrorist - I like him. * Achmed Junior - He's okay. * Little Jeff - Interesting. * Diane - Haven't seen much of her. He started with the puppets in 1972. The one show I really enjoyed(the others I'd seen before) was "All Over The Map" which was excerpts from his tour of countries like Ireland, Scotland, Iceland, Germany, Canada, China, and Malaysia. The latter was the worst partially because of all the rules and laws. Also, there were uniformed men with guns standing along each side of the audience. That would be rather intimidating. I think he is amazing. I doubt I could remember each voice he uses for each character. He has ten characters.
