The eye doctor agreed with me.

When I met the eye doctor (a new one but that´s another story) he asked me why was I there. I answered that I had 2 problems, a small one and a big one. The small one was that I wanted new glasses. But the big problem was that my eyelids hurt, itched and that every morning I woke up with a sort of small stone near the eyes. He then wanted me to tell him the in a scale of 1 to 10 how big were my problems. I said that, just to be nice, I´d say an 8 and not a 10. And so he examined me. After the first look he told me that he wouldn´t be able to give me new glasses. It would be, he said, the same as if I went to buy new shoes with very swollen feet. He told me that I had a big allergy, nothing infected but very nasty anyway. And he gave me 2 different eye drops, one with corticoids to use only for 7 days, and one to use until there was nothing left in the container. I asked him if the meds were generic (less expensive) as I´m retired. In my country, insurance companies don´t help with meds unless you are hospitalized. He told me that there were no good generic drugs for eyes unfortunatly. So I had to pay a great deal for the drops. But I don´t mind if if helps. I have had this problems for weeks. I just put one of the drops and I don´t know if it was because I trusted the doctor, but I feel better already I don´t mind the glasses. I have glasses and just wanted to check them and probably get a new pair. I walked a few steps from the drugist and found a place where they sold all sorts of nuts. I bought some Caju chestuts. I love them.

I hope the drops will work. They were awfully expensive so they´d better be good.

@marguicha I have some that are really expensive and some that are just mildly expensive. Both help a lot but I try not to use the really expensive ones if the cheaper ones will work.

@marguicha Yes, my eye drops are prescription. Any old eyedrops from a store won't work. I feel sorry for your eye doctor.

Oh I bet that nuts shop is amazing. Glad the doc was very understanding and got you your good drops even if they cost a lot. I hope soon the issue will be resolved. Maybe you can get new glasses later on. I had to get eye drops too. About a year ago.

I´m sure the eye problem will be solved as the doctor explained everything. And he told me that inexpensive drops usually damaged the eyes. So if my legss are not good, at least I want eyes to see.

The eye drops are all very expensive. I have to use every day for glaucoma, I am glad they are covered by the health insurance.

Here we have to buy them with our own money. No meds are covered.

I hope that takes care of your eye problems. My eyes swell, makes me wonder if I have an eye allergy.

That's good that you now know what is wrong and that you have some drops for your eyes, even if they were expensive.

I don´t usually buy chesnuts. They are very expensive here. And I discoveed that they are twice as expensive if I buy them from my shopper.
