In India millions of people celebrate Krishna Janmashtami on birth anniversary of Lord Krishna. While idols of the Lord is bought and puja is offered by chanting mantras and flowers and fruits are offered to the God, the best part of the festival is the cleanliness. Households are cleaned and lovely decorations are made with rice husk called alpona.

India has such a lot of festivals. It seems there is one at least every week.
