I Shopped for Cowboy Boots Today

My birthday was at the end of July and my husband gave me some money for my birthday. But a few days later he had his surgery so I didn't get a chance to spend my birthday money.
I decided a I wanted to buy a pair of cowboy boots with my birthday money. Since he got the okay to drive yesterday, I felt okay to leave him, without feeling like I was abandoning him alone at home. So I went cowboy boot shopping.
I knew I wanted a pair of black cowboy boots, but most of the ones at the store were brown. I finally did find a pair that was "antique black with blue upper trim" that I really liked but they didn't have my size. So they are going to try to order one in my size and they will call me when they come in so I can try them on. The ones that I did try on were 1/2 size bigger than my size, and they hurt the arch in my right foot, so I can't even order this style online because I need to try them on in my actual size and make sure they feel okay.
Hopefully, they will fit and follow that old adage, "Good things come to those who wait." Have you ever had to wait for something that you wanted really badly?

Oh I do wish I could see them..you bought them right? 
I had one pair of cowgirl boots in my life Karen.
I was not even 20 yrs old, and lived in England at the time.
I had a good enough job back then, that I could go to shop in London every couple weeks, I lived in Oxford with my husband x now.
Anyway, I found a lovely leather pair with steel pointy toes, brass..they were Italian. I loved them and do not know what happened to them. Course they surely would not fit me now.

No, I didn't buy them because that particular pair hurt my right arch. They were 1/2 a size bigger than what I normally take to they are going to try to order them in my size and when they come in they will call me and I will go try them on. I have had 2 other pairs in my lfetime, but the heels were too high and not comfortable so I didn't wear them often. I sold my last paur on eBay a few years ago!

Hope you enjoy your new boots! I have such weird feet and Fibromyalgia that I could never wear boots. I have trouble finding comfortable sandals!

@Kouponkaren My infection is getting better, but it's apparently something that takes a long time to completely heal and that's if it doesn't come back. I need that foot surgery, but can't with infection. How are you doing? Hopefully, the boots you get will fit well. I think cowboy boots are so cool!

Thanks, but I don't have them. They didn't fit right and I am hoping when they order my exact size that they won't hurt my foot. The right arch was too high for my foot and just wearing it around to try them on made my foot hurt. Sorry about your health issues. How are you doing?

Yes, that's why I can't take a chance on ordering these online. If they don't fit, I don't want to have to send them back. It's better to try them on at a store and make sure they feel comfortable.
