I Made a List of Ideas for myLot Posts

United States
September 16, 2023 11:05pm CST
Often when I am walking around in my house or driving somewhere, I think of an idea or topic I want to post on myLot. But then when I actually log into myLot, I totally forget what I had wanted to write about earlier. So I end up writing about whatever pops into my head that may or may not be totally boring to the rest of you! So last night I sat down and emailed myself a list of 20 things I want to share with all of you at some time in the near future. I hope you like them. Oh, this post was not on the list so this is one of 21 things I am going to post about! How do you decide what to post about on myLot?

I usually write about what pops in my mind or something I want to share.

Wanting to share is a good way to write about something. @infatuatedbby

@infatuatedbby I noticed that even though I made that list, today I just wrote about something that popped into my head. So I think I will use the lust when I can't think of anything else to write about.

@Kouponkaren No, it won’t be boring, for sure. My posts are nearly the same - about food, travel, etc. I don’t have anything exciting to share most of the time haha

@freelancemariagrace Aw, thanks. I hope I don't disappoint you with boring posts now that I let the cat out of the bag that I made a list.

I usually discuss things that have happened throughout the days or news or things I have seen.

@Kouponkaren Yes, housework posts aren't very entertaining. I also don't like it when people talk in generalities all the time, and never really say anything...but since they are nice people I like to comment on their posts anyway...

@snowy22315 That's good. I don't always have an exciting day so I don't want to bore people telling them I vacuumed or something like that, LOL.

I have sometimes listed down stuff to write, either on a text editor or in a Diary or Notebook. Sometimes, I see a Sports or other news and decide to write about it. 20 ideas sounds exciting and would that mean a lot to look forward to from your side?

@Kouponkaren Sounds quite a valid approach. I sometimes make a list of say 5 or 6, but bring out posts on just 2 or 3. A few do not seem to generate much interest here like some cricket matches and a few other topics.

Good. I had never done that. I just post off the top of my head when I feel like it.

@RebeccasFarm This was the first time for me but I will keep that list on the back burner for days when nothing exciting has happened and nothing pops into my head. It's good to have backup ideas.

It is just something that pops into my head or something amusing my cats do things like that. Right now I am offering up my favorite sunshine songs,

Lately I am just full of boring same old things. Not really any changes, not really anything to complain about either. So often it is just a recap of my day.

@GardenGerty Well, whatever works. That's been my motto for a long time. And everyone is different so whatever works for one person may not work for another.

I look forward to getting to read about all of your topics. How do I decide? Usually, something just pops in my head. I only post one discussion a day, so when I think of a second topic when I’ve written about something else that day, I just make a mental note to remember to post about it the next day. Usually, I can remember what it was for, but not always.

@AmberPam It's good that you can remember. I have adult ADD so thoughts are constantly popping in and out of my head. LOL. So I have to write them down.

I just read others and than think of something from theirs or see something strange going on and write about that.

I used to try to post something that could be interesting. I am not in the mood of posting from a while.

@Kouponkaren - I like to read what people post, comment, and discuss. I never enjoyed too much writing.

@LadyDuck But I see you on here a lot so you must just be commenting instead of posting your own things? I seem to like to do both.

I keep all my discussions on a file. I jot down ideas at the end of the file as I think of them.
