Fall is moving in, I hope

It was warm today but I believe tomorrow will be cooler. I am hoping for more energy soon. I see some color in some leaves. Especially the poison ivy. Hearty meals sound good, too. Soups and stews, for instance. I know not everyone experiences four seasons, and autumn or fall is not the same for everyone. For us here in the midwest part of the United States it means pumpkins and apples and falling leaves and even roasting chestnuts. Feel free to share some of your seasonal experiences with the rest of us.

Fall here in eastern NC means cooler temperatures and falling leaves. We don't get as much of the color change as the western part of the state where the mountains are.

Oh a lovely time of year..it is cooling nicely here but in the day it gets quite hot..that sun is still burning. The leaves are not yet too autumny here where I am, but up further in the mountains, they are gorgeous from what I had seen neighbors posting.

I am seeing some yellows and oranges on leaves now. The temps dropped some but are still warmish for me. We made homemade turkey vegetable soup over the weekend. It is good. We make soups year round. Autumn is my favorite season, the colors, the crisp air, the decorations. I love it.

My mom used to love the changing colors of the leaves, and cruising along Talimena Drive in Oklahoma was her favorite thing to do in the fall. Have you ever been there? Well, one year my dad couldn't take her, so I loaded her up in my SUV, and headed towards the OU campus. There are so many huge trees around that area, and it is gorgeous if you know what streets to visit. I remember she got tears in her eyes because I wanted her to have her annual fall experience. It wasn't Talimena, but I think she enjoyed it anyway. I'm kinda teary just writing about it. I'm happy to have that memory.

It almost felt like fall today. But, at the same time it didn't. I'll take it.

Here in Florida I have stopped having change of seasons everything always looks the same, You should see it at Christmas time when the Christmas trees stand side my side with the palm trees,

We don't have sharply distinct seasons but spring and autumn are less cold and less hot than summer and winter so they're my favourites.

I like the cooler temperatures but hate the shorter days and the winter that follows. Have a good day.

Fall is my favorite time of year. I amp up the cooking by making more homemade soups, snickerdoodles, pumpkin muffins or bread, and as you said, hearty meals just seem right for this time of year. Daughter and I always spend an entire day at an orchard and the orchard store, enjoying looking at all of the fall items, sampling foods like apple cider donuts, hot apple cider, and bringing home all of the pumpkins and gourds she thinks she should get to decorate with. She is a Halloween-a-holic, they love Halloween and decorate their house, inside and out. I enjoy helping, it's fun!
