Oh the injustice of it all................

I'm so angry and disappointed. Finally they have caught and charged the wildlife poacher Teo Boon Ching for killing rhinos for their horns yet all he has to serve is 18 months. That creep should serve over 60 years for this kind of crime given the endangered statis of rhinos. What the hell is wrong with our legal systems when no one has to pay the proper consequence for this kind of destruction. Oh, don't even get me started on the injustice for crimes such as murder or child abuse................ Ok, my rant is over, thanks for stopping by. EDIT: I thought I should add this link..........

18 months is ridiculous. Throw him inside a cell and throw the key.

@MarieCoyle I hate those who kill animals for sport and poachers. They deserve more serious punishments.

This is an excellent suggestion. I am more than tired of people being just plain cruel.

@LadyDuck They are despicable. If someone needs to hunt an animal or butcher or whatever, to have food, I am fine with that. But trophy hunting is terrible, and hunting an animal for horns or just the fur should be outlawed everywhere. If you harvest an animal for food, it's like a gift--and all of the animal should be used, not just one part of it.

Just 18 months ? I don't understand . . . rhinos are almost extinct now . . . 18 months for senseless killing of rhinos sounds way too short a sentence .

Exactly. I wish I were in charge, I'd send the guy out in the middle of the territory where they live without any weapons and no people around.

I have no idea. But he is Indonesian so perhaps there but he should face the consequences in Africa, I'll bet they aren't nearly as forgiving.

@rebelann I was just wondering since certain countries are really lenient with animal offenders, sadly.

Wouldn't it be fair if he were dumped in an area where there were many wild chimpanzees?

In my country they just caught a man who had raped a minor and gave him 3 years of prison. I wouuld have put him in jail and lost the key.

I agree but wouldn't it be fun to see what would happen to him if they let him loose in that part of the jungle where chimpanzees live?

Is there no standard punishment for such crimes and if there is why has it been reduced?

I have no idea why this creep isn't being punished to the fullest extent, I would love to see them set him loose in a territory of wild chimpanzees without any hope of humans being around.

It is unjust. 18 months for killing endangered animals isn't good enough in my book.
