“Tequila Sunrise” is a lovely song by the American country rock band The Eagles. As you know I am doing sunshine songs and every day has a sunrise and a sunset. This song takes me back to my young adult days when me and my friends were bar hopping and discoing all over NYC. Tequila Sunrise was also a favorite cocktail we enjoyed drinking depending on how long we were staying out. It was at this time that I realized NYC was like the city of gold, Eldorado. The reason I say that is because when we finally stumbled out of a disco having danced most of the night the quiet city streets were ahead of us and the day was just beginning. It was at this time that I first stood stupefied and rooted to the spot. The sun was slowly rising and its rays were finding all the windows of the skyscrapers all around. Suddenly it seemed all the windows and especially those of glass skyscrapers were shining golden in the light. It is an incredible sight and one I will never forget especially when I saw it for the first time.
