Good morning from sunny, cloudy Green Bay, Wisconsin, USA.
What's a person to do when the calendar doesn't alert you to appointments? That's what I have it for. I missed another appointment, but this time I blame the calendar. I always put a notice on it to alert me in plenty of time to get me where I need to go. It alerted me all right. When the appointment was over. I called and got a new appointment for two weeks from today. The appointment I missed was for my eyes.
Okay, so other than that, it's been another early day. I got my laundry in the washer by 3:20 a.m. I could easily have made that 8 a.m. appointment.
Plans for today include getting the notifications caught up and working on a book. There's also Canasta at noon.
I've had my breakfast and done a round of steps in the building. I'll get more as the day goes on. I also played my games.

I hope the headache goes away soon.
It's strange. When I have other meetings or appointments, it will be in the center of my screen all day, so I don't forget it. Not this time. Maybe it was a God thing. With the book signing this weekend and the money I will spend; I can't buy glasses right now. I can afford them for the next appointment.

That's so annoying that you missed your appointment but you're lucky to get another one so soon. You already put in a full day before I even got up this morning

Yes, it is annoying. I was on my walk around the building when I got the alert. Good job it did when I already missed the appointment.
Garbage is here making noise.

That's frustrating to miss an appointment. Day has been going OK so far. Just the usual..leaving to go out West though after the news at noon

You might ask the person at the reception desk in each doctors' office if you can get a text message the day before you're due for an appointment. That's how we have it set up so I can set an alarm an hour or two before we're due somewhere... It works very well for us.
I had an appointment early this morning at the local hospital for my allergy shots and another appointment with my doctor for two blood draws... one for the local doctor and one for the allergist in Springfield.
Other than getting soaked when we walked to and from the expensive grocery store yesterday and getting stitches after I fell coming up the front steps, nothing else interesting has happened here while I couldn't see... At least my eyes finally opened up yesterday evening...

The only doctor who didn't alert me early was the eye doctor. When I saw the notice, I thought that's what it was. For all the other appointments I get a notice to fill out the appointment confirmation form.
I'm sorry you ended up needing stitches when you fell. I'm glad your eyes are open now.

I refused to fill out forms online so the various doctors just send me a text reminding me of the day and time of my appointments.

That is strange that it would not alert you till after. I personally just write the appointments down, can't always trust tech!

At times, mobile calendars could be missed if we don't hear the alarm.
Games and Walk sound good!

Today was my office day and it involved local travel by public transport and a good amount of walk.

After yesterday's luncheon, I fell asleep between 4 PM and 5PM and slept until 7 AM. It's 11:21 AM now, and I am still waking up. It always takes a few hours. I ate, got my mail, talked to a few neighbors, took the cat outside for a few minutes (three times), and did a few things on the computer.
My job at the luncheon was to check people in, and I thought my friend would be there with me, but she left me alone at the table, and the woman who was to greet them before sending them to the table wasn't much help either. So my blind eyes were (and still are) exhausted.
I am waiting for the Meals on Wheels guy to get here, then I will rest, probably until Henry wants to go back outside again. I never let him go outside by himself.
