Friday Morning Coffee Talk

Happy Friday Everyone! I'm enjoying the sunshine before the rainy weekend arrives. It was nice enough to sit outside for a little while when I took the dog out earlier.
This week has flown by (as they all do) and I've gotten very little done that I had on my "to do" list. With my daughter away on vacation I had things lined up for myself to do every day and then did basically none of it. 
I enjoyed spending yesterday with my oldest daughter and it was extra special that I had her all to myself. We had a nice lunch and she even brought me some stuffed cabbage to heat up for my dinner.
I haven't done much cooking this week and I'm finding out that it's even harder to cook for one than two.
Usually by this time of the week I have a grocery list going for our weekly shopping but I think we have plenty and won't need to do a big shopping when my daughter gets home.
I'm definitely looking forward to my daughter getting home on Sunday and although I haven't been lonely I do miss her.
No weekend plans for me. The weather is suppposed to be horrible and rainy.
Any exciting weekend plans for you?

I'll meet with a friend visiting from Toronto. We haven't seen each other for almost eight years.

@Marilynda1225 - I hope they will be in NY before the storm. I am sure the Captain will do what is needed to avoid the storm, do not worry.
I do not know why I never go through that list when my husband is not at home.

I'm just hoping my daughter gets home safely with the storm that is coming up along the East Coast. She's coming back from Bermuda and docking in NY so I'm hoping they are behind the storm and not coming through it.
I had things I wanted to do while my daughter is away but every day I just decide to do something else. The stuff on my list will still be there

Looking forward to making pumpkin chili on Saturday. Not sure if I willl be able to do much online. I imagine there willl be more problems than usual with the service.

The words "to do list" sound like dirty words to me. I always have them around bothering me. This weekend might be better than how it started. I have two posible visitors coming although none of them are for sure yet.

I know you'll be glad when your daughter gets home. That was a special time with your other daughter. You're very blessed.

My two girls do a lot of things together and most times I'm included but it's rare these days that I get a visit with my oldest daughter with other family around. It was really nice to have alone time with her.

You get rain! We are grayish today - but they say we're supposed to warm up this weekend. Hee hee - there are many times my "to do" list had become a "didn't do" list 
. Hope your daughter has safe trip home. No solid weekend plans for us . . . trying to get things on my "to do" list done - but we know how that goes
