Following up on reminders

Due to blood where it should not be, and some discomfort, Bob and I made a trip to the ER at Bob Dole VA.
While we were there, the APRN who provided care, and looked through his chart said that there was a note that HE had cancelled Tuesday's urology appointment. I also had gotten a message on the phone that they are still trying to reach him to schedule an abdominal CT ?
I thought I had already spoken to this guy that called me and set up an appointment for October 6
. I find myself wondering if there is a problem with their scheduling software.
The ER visit was pretty inconclusive. He is not suffering from urinary retention, he does not have white blood cells indicating infection, or a fever, or chills. The APRN messaged the person Bob is to see on Tuesday, and I will also call him to find out what is up Monday morning, on the way to my cardiology appointment. Then I will call the radiology department, and speak to that person, and YES it is the same one I spoke with before, and get that procedure scheduled. AND I will call the information number to find out what the community based appointment is at 8 a.m. Tuesday, because they reminded us, but we have no clue what it is. The postcard just said it was not at a VA facility.
Man, my head is spinning. At least the audiologist appointment on Tuesday is still in place.

Several months ago something got messed up in our appointments... The cards they gave us each time showed one thing but the phone calls/text messages said different days and times... It took a couple of weeks for us to get everything back on schedule and we still don't know how things got messed up.

Ah, it sounds as if mischief is afoot all over. I just am sort of stressing trying to figure it out. I took off work to go to this appointment with him.

@GardenGerty We kept wondering if it was a new person that was trying to remember who had what day and time and writing it down wrong on their end... but that can't be the case with different doctors. We just took the cards in with us and they had to see us according to what was written.

Just Monday and part of Tuesday for medical. Wednesday I may be training a replacement on the bus, and one of our attendance centers has early release.

Maybe his bladder wall has little holes in it, like mine did..showed blood.
Yeah that software maybe...terrible.

The scheduled/unscheduled appointment Tuesday at 3:00 p.m. is/was to do a scope to see just what is going on. You could be as right as anyone else.

I can certainly see why your head is spinning. That's enough for anyone to have to sort through. Appointments are important, but I do know mine have been scrambled up before. I've even gone in for an appointment to be informed I didn't have one at all--funny, I handed the lady the appointment card that SHE filled out and handed to me when booking the appointment...she turned really red. Good grief.
I hope all of it gets sorted and that Bob feels better.

Wow! Yes, the day the tree fell on my house I was attempting to go to an appointment in Wichita, only to find that I was told wrong and needed to be in Marion.

Hey, guess what? The VA health website says that the local mystery appointment is for a CT locally on Tuesday. Which will be great if we can still get in to the audiology and urology appointments in the afternoon. The same website says that at 2:00 p.m. when his audiology appointment is he is having a CT scan at VA

Oh, I just checked the VA medical site and found out that the mystery appointment is a CT scan locally at 8 a.m. I am going to be playing VA phone tag tomorrow while I also am on my way (Bob driving) to my appointment. I will be able to post about it tomorrow evening, I guess.
