I Made a Nice Profit on a Vest on eBay

On Monday I went to a Goodwill after a medical appointment. I was only going to stay a short time, but I stayed an hour and I am glad I did because it gave me time to browse more clothing racks. In the women's department, I found a men's charcoal black vest. The brand name is C.C. Filson. If you sell clothes online, C. C. Filson is a really good brand name to sell, at least in the US. I was so happy when I found it, I tried not to dance in the aisle! I paid $7.24 for the vest on Monday. I listed it Thursday night for $115.00, with a "or best offer" option. Within 30 minutes, it sold for $100! I couldn't believe my ears when I heard that exciting cash register sound! I would say that's a pretty good profit. What's the most money you have ever made on an item that you sold online?

@1creekgirl Thank you. It helps me to know people are praying for me. I won't know anything until Friday, October 6th. The waiting is so hard.

Nice profit!! Gotta love finding things like that!! Not sure about my best find. I've been doing Ebay too many years!!! I get a kick out of things I list and hubby sees me doing it and will ask me if I'm putting THAT on Ebay. When I say "yes" he comments that nobody will buy it. I love proving him wrong!!

@Kouponkaren I actually thought about quitting Farmasi last night and putting it all on Ebay. We are changing packaging so all needs to be sold!! This morning I wasn't that keen on the idea, but I'm going to keep it on the burner until end of year.

@kareng I hear ya. My hubby wishes I would stop doing eBay but I love to surprise him when I have a good sale like that. He can't believe people pay so much for stiff on eBay.

@JudyEv Yes, you can. It does take a lot of work though. I have been following a few people for years to learn the nest brand names and types of items to sell online. But I love it so much.

That is a pretty good profit for the vest. I bought a book at a yard sale for a dollar. The book sold for 35 dollars on Ebay.

@Kouponkaren I do not remember the name. It was about the Freemason. The book was over 100 years old when I sold it.

That’s awesome, Karen! Woo hoo! The most I ever made was $100. I had received a free DVD player from a company I had business with (this was 22 years ago). I already had one, so I sold the free one online, and made $100. That was back when DVD players were more expensive, of course. I was struggling through college financially at that time, so a hundred bucks really helped.

@AmbiePam Oh yes, $100 would be a big help to a college student.

I bought a case of action figures from my work and paid less than two each for them. Twenty years later I saw them on ebay for $75 each. Listed all of them and got $75 for each one. I was really happy with that sell.

@db20747 Yes, I agree. I do a lot more selling on eBay than buying, but I do buy from eBay as well.
