Sorted, sort of

So I will say that I had been dreading my testing and it was much simpler than I had imagined, although it took three tries to get a vein to accept the catheter to take the isotopes to run around my body. They needed to use my right arm and it is funky.
About Bob's appointments--he will still see audiology tomorrow. I already have time off so I will go with. Just because.
Because VA could not schedule a CT before tomorrow and have it read, his urology appointment is canceled. That is the one I mainly had taken time for.
Although I had information saying he had a CT tomorrow in Marion (town where I work) They could not find any orders for it. Even if it had happened it would not have been soon enough for tomorrow's urology appointment.
The CT scan will be October 6. I do not need to go. The urology appointment will be October 18. I will need to go on that.
The urology nurse says if he has blood in his urine again, but no fever etc. go ahead and push fluids as we did this time.
He thinks maybe Friday night's pizza was too spicy and caused his problems. We shall never know.
I will get my results October 16. It happens to be a day out of school.
For now I need to check to see if my time sheet for Friday has been fixed. I can find out online. Last week is the close of this pay period.
Life is so very exciting here.

I think it depends on who you are dealing with. Some issues are harder, but I was dealing with VA and I believe they truly want to serve our veterans.

@GardenGerty That’s good, I am very glad to hear that. I am dealing with DHS, and I believe 80% of them do not like the people they are supposed to help. I just can’t believe incompetence can cause my problem every single year. They just must not care.

I'm glad the appointments have been figured out. Congrats! Now, let's hope all the tests you two are having come out showing no problems. Good luck!

I felt really awful last June, after all those months of antibiotics and infections. My doctor tested me for things like anemia and thyroid issues, but I am clear. So, she says, "since women present differently with heart disease, I think you need to see a cardiologist , just in case." I had had a cardiac screening of my own accord in February (heart month) that showed that I was in the 75th percentile as far as risk goes, actually as it was explained to me, I would call it 25th percentile. As one doctor said, "If you and 99 other people were in line, and the first person was at the highest risk, you would be the 75th person." So this treadmill test with radioactive perfusion, and EKG are supposed to determine if the 25% of calcium accumulation is outside the arteries (preferred) or inside causing blockage. I am betting on the outside.

@DaddyEvil Basically blockages and poor health choices for life is what killed my sister.

I need to go online to request the 18th off. I only feel badly because I believe our sub is off that day for her husbands neurology appointment. See, there I go again, keeping track of other people.

And, I thought my life was boring. I guess even I can be wrong.

@GardenGerty The older you get, your life seems to revolve around medical appointments.

Goodness me, that's a lot to keep track of. Vince has an appointment every day this week bar Thursday. Audiology, and MRI, a health assessment appointment, gastroenterology and heart doctor! Some are just routine. And I have to go to the dentist today.

@JudyEv Ooh, I hope so. Bob had ten months where he only had regular check ups, so now we are on the go again.

We could have a competition, Judy, to see who gets to go the most. I know, it goes with the age we are.

@GardenGerty Once there are over with, there shouldn't be too many more for a while although yesterday one leg kept giving way on him. Luckily, it seems okay today.

Well at least the good thing is that some of this coincides with your days off...so that works. Good luck with any and all tests.

I plan it that way whenever possible so I do not have to take leave. I took three and a half hours today of sick leave and one hour of personal so I would drive to work and have my car at school and not at the bus stop.

I do not believe anything big will come of my testing. I am 70 years old and it is time for me to slow down a little. Hubby, well, he has his struggles.

Me too. He has been sick a lot over the last eight or so years. My testing was just precautionary, sort of to get a baseline.
