I became distracted by phone calls

As I was mylotting yesterday my phone rang. It was a lady saying there was a four week wait for a physiotherapist to visit me at home but my name was on the list The 2nd call was from a care company who told me I couldn't have more cares unless I paid. I was fuming as I am entitled to 6 weeks free care. My husband had put a financial assessment in the post too early. We should have had 2 more weeks The new carer turned up this morning and stood by my bed reading notes about me. I mouthed to my husband "I don't like her", I decided to break the ice by telling her I would rather give my background first. It worked and she was okay. A bit quiet but then I guess she didn't know what sort of people she was meeting. I do not intend to pay £15.80 for 45 minutes every day, So I have to become stronger and eat more. The big boss of the company called round before lunch and was with us for ages. It was so repetitive, I was asked if I smoked 3 times plus other things too. Anyways I am having a nap now and promise I will be back soon.

Thanks Snowy. The carer has been but I couldn't justify her being here 45 minutes

It does sound like it's very intrusive having all those people coming in addition to the phone calls. Hope you can get yourself stronger and won't need as much assistance. I remember when my mom needed care-givers, visiting nurses and therapists and how scheduling all those appointments and care was a headache

That would be a good idea if you need only 20 minutes. She could be doing something in the remaining 25.

Yes., because if we had less time they would still charge us anyway

It seems as though people are truly incompetent in every country. Which, of course, isn’t a surprise, but it’s still disappointing.

It seems that the harder you work and pay more tax the more you are penalised

I get to answer those repetitive questions twice a month... Once from the care company that pays Pretty to help me when my eyes swell shut and once from the pharmacist that doles out my allergy shots every month. It's annoying... At least neither one of them actually come to my house to ask the questions. (The care company did send someone to my house before they hired Pretty to help me... I felt like I was taking out a loan and finding a new doctor... very intrusive questions.) I hope you've had a nice nap and eaten something delicious for supper by now.

I am not one who likes talking on the phone unless necessary. I hope you can get stronger and not need so much assistance.

Me too. It isn't just the money, it's the intrusion in our lives

I hope you can get everything sorted out. I hope you can increase your food intake and get on your feet so you won't need as much care. Have a good weekend.
