They only had a few in the store, but the sign said they had thousands available online. It has been a long time since I have been anywhere that sells vinyl outside of a thrift shop.I was pretty shocked to see them especially in a bookstore. I mean I am sure flea markets probably have some too. How long has it been since you have seen vinyl in a regular store?

Do they? I never even knew they were still in business.

@RebeccasFarm One of the big cool ones I used to know of in the Baltimore Inner Harbor area is now closed. I just looked it up. It was in an ol power plant..and the neatest thing ever.

I don't think I go anywhere that would normally have vinyl records. It has been awhile since I have even been to a thrift store. I vaguely remember Borders, which went bankrupt over ten years ago, having a section with vinyl records, but I never looked at that section since I was there for the books.

@snowy22315 Borders shut down for good over ten years ago. It is a shame.

@snowy22315 They have done a great job staying relevant.

The Borders in this area have all closed, but they are probably around somewhere. I don't remember seeing vinyl there, but then again I wasn't looking for it. A store like Fyes, probably has them though or music stores.

Walmart started selling vinyl records four or five years ago in their book section of the stores.

@snowy22315 I only know because the book section in a Walmart is beside the electronics section where I worked.
We only have two grocery stores in my city. The expensive one and Walmart. We mostly shop at Walmart.

Maybe you should donate them to someone in your will. There are music libraries too that would probably enjoy having them I doubt everything is digital.

@snowy22315 Good idea. Our sons will have first pickings but I'm sure they won't be just tossed.

@JudyEv That's assuming they want them, but I bet your musician son would be interested in some.

Yes, the Barnes and Noble close to me that I love to browse in, has a ton of vinyl. I think they put that section in ours right before the pandemic.

They only had about 4 or 5 albums in the store, but the sign said they have thousands online

Oh, ours has a big selection of them. But I do know B&N online does a big vinyl business as well.

The Walmart Supercenter we frequent has them, and I think we were there two weeks ago.

I don't usually go in the entertainment or electronic section of Walmart, and when I do, all I see is phones, TV's,DVD's, video games and computer based electronics,,and or headphones, bluetooth devices etc.

@snowy22315 The way our War-mart is laid out, we don't have much of a choice. Sometimes that's the the only way to get from one end of the store to the other.

I used to practically live in record stores as a teenager and young adult, Now I have not idea what happens out there and if there are any record stores left, I have no record player,

I haven't been in a store in years. Vinyl is making such a comeback. Have a good weekend.
