Blinds or curtains?

As I have already mentioned we have loads of windows. We do not have a door leading to the kitchen from that part of our hall where we have our dining table. We do not have a door leading to the inner passage from the hall. We do not have a door leading to the kitchen from the inner passage. We have doors to our pantry, rest room area and bedrooms Ofcourse we have doors to enter the house both from the front and kitchen side and a door to go upstairs from outside. All the windows have blinds and the doors of the bedrooms and rest room have curtains. What is your story?

My apartment provides blinds when we move in, and we are not allowed to change them, or add anything to them.

@AmbiePam Never heard of that. We only use a duster and wipe each blade using the finger

I have both! Curtains in the bedrooms and blinds on the three doors leading outside.

@allknowing Many doors have a window in the top half. I am guessing that is what she means.

to go to the kitchen I don't need a door, just a curtain.

@allknowing The function of the curtain is to divide the living room and kitchen so that nothing is disturbed.

Curtains I guess. They are easier to change, clean and cheaper.

So I assume you have them. We cannot possibly put curtain on the number of windows we have Blinds are just dusted and are not removed for cleaning.

@allknowing Because the heat of the sun is intense in this small tiny sardine can with the boiler on it...it is 1000 degrees in here..so I must put up room darkening sunproof curtains to block it or we would literally fry. The blinds do not suffice to block the sun, or heat, neither the cold of winter.

Blinds collect dust and I am allergic to dust. My kitchen window has a blind but I ignore it. I do have white lacey material in the upstairs bathroom window so nobody can peek up at us. Otherwise the windows are mostly places for stained glass pieces. (Only one house kind of near enough to us for a good stare in.)

If one can survive without blinds and curtains that is the best option

@allknowing I love natural light. I wish I had bigger windows.

In our lounge we have blinds and curtains. We only draw the blinds at night. Our bedroom has both too.

As a rule I suppose doors will have curtains and blinds for windows. While we were in the city we lived in a flat and there we had curtains both for windows and doors.

I would go for blinds. I find curtains too involving when it comes to cleaning

I use blinds. They are easier to manage and clean.

You are right and they need not be replaced as often as curtains are
