I saw a photo of Toby Keith and his wife on Facebook yesterday where he made an appearance and performed on The People's Choice Awards. Toby Keith is a country music artist best known for his big hit with "Red Solo Cup."
Toby was diagnosed with stomach cancer a couple of years ago (2021) and has been fighting the battle. He has been taking both chemo and radiation and says his tumor has shrunk according to his most recent scan.
I was shocked when I saw his photo because I did not recognize him at all. He has lost a lot of weight, but that is expected. His facial features are totally different, as well. I hope he continues to do well and beat this cancer.
I have enjoyed his music and saw him in concert years ago.

I read that he said, “Bet you never thought you’d see me in skinny jeans.”
I pray he continues to successfully battle the dreaded disease.

He lives a few miles from me. My dad’s best friend pastors the church he goes to, and he is always willing to help someone who financially needs it. You wouldn’t know through the press though. I admire his attitude, and I pray he recovers.

I never heard his name, but I hope he can recover. My mother had stomach cancer, discovered when she was 70. My brother decided for surgery, a large part of her stomach was removed, she did not even need chemo, she recovered and lived another 17 years.

@LadyDuck I had some very odd dreams last night and was a bit disturbed when I woke up and remembered that there were more than one dream and of a couple of family members. I sometimes think dreams are our subconscious state trying to tell us something!

@kareng Mom was lucky, as her cancer was detected at a very early stage. I had a dream one night, my father came to tell me that Mom had a stomach problem that needed immediate attention.
You cannot imagine how much I had to fight with my brother (doctor) to convince him to check. He continued to repeat "Mom is fine, how can I trust your silly dreams..." SURE!

I scrolled and saw his picture as well. Poor guy looks so frail and exhausted. I hope he can beat the cancer.

@MarieCoyle Very true. We all know he wants to get back on the tours, but will he be able to?

He may just be putting on a brave front, but we won't know that. He has aged years and years since the illness hit him.
