Medieval fair

On Sunday we went to a medieval fair that takes place every year in a village near us. Even though it was really hot, it was fun, we ate freshly made bread with garlic butter and drank craft beer (we, the adults, the children drank water). All participants were wearing medieval clothes and there was even a carousel made of wood that had to be run manually. We bought some vegetables such as beans, small pumpkins and quinces. My daughter also bought a handmade bracelet. I would like to share some photos with you, but for now, it seems that it is not possible yet. Do you like these types of fairs? Do you usually go when there is one near you?

Pity, I would love to see it. So glad you had a great time. I do not but there is one in this state each year.

It is interesting as the tents are medieval style and the products are visible to everyone in baskets.

I love fairs and festivals, but now all the walking usually takes a toll on me. Parking is always a problem too and by the time you reach the destination, you are tired. That's what happens when you get old!! So, we rarely go to anything like that anymore.

So do I, and I go whanever I can. I understand your point, if you are too tired you won't appreciate the fair too.

@kareng yes, it is difficult to enjoy something if we are tired.

I really enjoy these fairs too. Hopefully the photos feature will be working again. I wasn't here when it stop working, do you know the reason?

@nela13 - No one explained the exact reason why the photo feature does not work, but it's not hard to guess that the site needs to be upgraded and moved to a faster server. According to what Admin wrote, it seems the site does not make enough money to do what it is necessary to do.

@nela13 This is true. The site has a major problem as it is. Most new users think that writing is the way to earn. The fact that we only earn if the others interact with us is difficult to understand for many. It is true that right now the earnings are very low.

I've never been to a medieval fair but Pretty went several times while she was in college and enjoyed herself.

@nela13 I'd like to go to one but have never heard of one of them where we live. Pretty was in New York when she went to the ones she attended.

In a city near here is the Carolina Renaissance Festival. I love it, but I haven't gone in a long time.

I went to one in the spring. It was really too hot that day to enjoy it though...and the food cost too much.It is a definite miss for next year.

The prices were affordable here, in fact some things like beans, pumpkins and so on were quite cheap.
