But no rain in the forecast today. There is rain forecast for tomorrow. The photo is from a campsite about halfway around the loop from my site. I saw it when Ace and I took our morning walk. I don't know if it is a Halloween decoration or a homage to Stephen King. Either way, I imagine the clown will make some campers uncomfortable and perhaps frighten some children. Are you afraid of clowns?

I am not afraid of clowns but this one does look spooky. My elder daughter was very scared of clowns when she was young. She even cried looking at the picture.

@DWDavis No, she is 19 years now and far from me in her college hostel. This was about when she was young. Even looking at the picture, she would cry. And my younger daughter was just the opposite. She loved clowns.

. Now they both are grown up and no more scared of it.

For some reason, no, they never frightened me. But then, my uncle is a professional clown, and I grew up watching Red Skelton.

Red Skelton is another example of a positive image of a clown I remember from childhood, along with Bozo the Clown.

I wonder if it will scare any animals looking for food. No, I’m not afraid of clowns, but my best friend is, for some reason.

It may cause the deer in the park to avoid that campsite. I don't know if the squirrels will be bothered by it. Ace wasn't fazed. Not much bothers him these days.

It didn't scare us this morning, but had we come upon it in the dark we both might have let out a yell.

It's a bit of a shame that clowns went from amusing to scary. I know some people can't stand them.

I'm indifferent to clowns, not scared but don't care for them. Hope that one doesn't scare the kids too much.

Right now, there aren't many kids in the park from what I've seen. Most families with kids left Monday afternoon or yesterday morning.

I can’t say I’m afraid of clowns but after reading Stephen King I wouldn’t be comfortable with a clown sneaking around.

We will be getting several days of rain and chilly temperatures in the 50s. Yuck! Depends on what type of clown. There are those that are frightening and malicious like the ones in the movies. Regular clowns don't bother me. Hope you have a great day.

I am personally not afraid of clowns. But I know a few people who are deathly afraid of them. It's kind of funny actually. I was just at a campsite in Perryville this past weekend and someone had their site completely decked out. I should have taken a picture. I am sure they are year-rounders.
