Having a myLot plan....

Good morning from this side of the planet. It's sunny bright day here. It is 12:45 afternoon as I write this post. I am resting my feet as I myLot on my smartphone. I would do so till the battery of the phone cooperates. It's already half way over. It's the first rest since the morning. I have done a lot...1 hour in the gym, cooking till dinner, some morning cleaning chores, packing lunch for husband and niece and an elaborate pooja( prayer) with some paath and jaapa ( mantra chanting). I am here after a filling brunch of millets dosa( sort of pancake), sambhar ( spicy tangy lentils soup with loads of veggies) and ridge gourd and peanut chutney. With this nine days festival going on, an hour in the morning goes with chanting and elaborate prayer. I do a quick one in the evening too. I had a small banana and few almonds in the morning before gym. So, I skipped breakfast and rather had a filling brunch as it was already 12 by the time I was free to eat. That might be my routine for another week till 24th. Later I will enjoy some fruits( I have pomogranate) in the late afternoon and then go for early dinner. I am just left with few dishes to be cleaned. That's all for the chores for the day unless I plan to clean up one cupboard. I have my afternoon session at 4 and I have nothing much to do till then. I will try to be online till then. Today I have come with a myLot plan to stay focused here. It would making 2 discussions in the day, answering all notifications and reading 35 posts and responding to them. Let's see how much I am able to do.. Just thought of setting a goal each day till I have holidays. It might be too ambitious, but let's see. Do you have any daily myLot goals? With this post, I complete one of the two discussions that I aim for today Now will switch between notifications and responding to posts here. Have a good time in your myLot corner

The main celebration will start from 20th when we go pandal hopping ( big decorations where huge Goddesss Durga's idol are placed) and for all cultural celebrations. The main highlight is Dandiya nights. Dandiya and Garba are traditional dances done during this festival. And we have it for four nights in a row where people dress up in traditional attires and dance in groups.

@arunima25 Will you take videos of your family doing traditional dances in full attire?

@DaddyEvil We do that. We don't dance together. There are different groups in the same place. Younger ones dance together. My daughter does it with her friends. I do it with my friends. My husband and I do couple dance too. I am not sure how much I can this year with my knees troubling me.

I do not have daily goals here in myLot. Every morning when I start my day, first thing, I clear all my notifications (I have more than 100 this morning). Then I do some house chores, I prepare lunch and in the afternoon I start reading new posts. I read as may as I can.

That's a good thing to do. Today even I had 82 notifications in the morning. I finished that and made this post. Now, I will clear the new notifications ( I have few) and get to reading new posts. I would be here for another 45 minutes before getting up for evening tea.

@LadyDuck Wow! I get that baking aroma. My daughter is so busy this year. It's her Final year in High school and also busy with applying for colleges next year. She has not baked from the beginning of this academic year. I really miss that aroma of baking.

Thank you Rebecca. I made it for fun. As it's holiday time, I can afford to spend some more time here. This is just to stay motivated to be here. I am not going to push myself hard to reach the goal

I had 82 notifications and I answered them all in the morning and made this post. Now, I have few new notifications. I will adress them and then move to reading and responding to posts. Let's see how much I am able to do. I am planning to be here for 45 minutes before I get up for evening tea and other chores. I might come back again in the night before bed.

It's festival season in India and I love every bit of it. Plus I am getting more time to be online

That's my goal here too. When I have working days, I have time constraints. I come here for relaxation and keep no goal. As it's holiday these days, I thought of doing it for fun and motivation to be here more. But it didn't work . Anyways, I am not pushing myself hard for any goal. I don't want to kill the joy of mylotting.

@freelancermariagrace If we are under pressure of a goal, it would become like another job or chore. And we would not be happy to come here

A nice plan! I used to have some daily goals at myLot once in a while, but at the moment, I just don't have any myLot plan. Once I get "addicted" to myLot, spend too much time here, I tend to neglect my other stuff.... So I have to limit my time here. Enjoy hitting your goal daily!

I made the goal and then went missing from here . With my offline obligations and time constraints, I never stick to it. It's better to not keep one and enjoy it whenever I can

Usually I try to get through my notifications before reading or writing a post. But, some days I jump around and do a little here and there. I don't necessarily have set goas for myLot. Some days I have more time than others to be online. I guess my only goal is to get here every day even if it's for a short amount of time.

That's my goal too. Too be regular here despite my busy schedule with work and chores. I don't set any other goal here. Since it's holidays, I thought of making few goals and see if I can achieve that. It's just for fun and to help me stay focused. I am not going to push myself hard to get those goals. Once I am back to work, time constraints will be there.

That's how I am . It's my relaxing place between my chores and work. Since it's ten days long break for me, I thought of coming up with a goal and see how much I can actually achieve.. It's all for fun. I will not push myself hard for any goals here
