October is in the history books for many of you here. We're counting down the last hours here in the USA and this month will be over and November will start.
I would give you something to think about for November. For me, it's the thankful month. It would be great if you could name one thing every day that you're thankful for. Other than comments on my thankful post. I know everyone has something they're thankful for.
Thirty days of gratefulness isn't too much to ask. It might even change your life.
Today, I'm thankful for the snow. Tomorrow it will be something else. We only have two months left of the year. November is a month of thankfulness and December is the month for kindness and giving.
Something to think about.
How are or did you end the month? Did you participate in Halloween? Did you have a lot of trick-or-treaters come to your door? Thanks for reading. The image belongs to me from today's snow. I finally got the pictures to load.

They had a party for the kids today to keep them from having to go trick or treating tonight. It would be really hard for residents to buy candy for all the kids in the complex because it is so large.
I love this time of year with Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas right in succession. I just wish we could celebrate Thanksgiving and Christmas for more than just a month.
Snow pictures are always great to see!

We don't usually have trick or treaters in our area. There aren't that many youngsters, and our place is so tucked away that even people who know it exists can't find it! It's probably a good thing that we didn't get anyone because I'd already eaten all the sweets i would have given out
I actually spent the evening working at a 'psychic supper' event at a village hall. While tiring to do that and be out late following a full day of my day job, it was enjoyable!

@pumpkinjam It's good they didn't show up at your place since you ate all the sweets.
I'm glad you had fun at the psychic supper.

We should always be thankful for what or who we have in our lives.
You're thankful for the snow, I'm thankful that it hasn't snowed here yet. In fact, the sun is shining and it's above freezing,

We don't get any trick or treaters here; so the porch light remained off. Have a great day.

You got snow? Oh my too early for that! It's hard to be thankful right now....so can't say anything myself.
We did take my son trunk-or-treating, will share a photo of that sometime soon.

@just4him I could say that I am thankful they went together and can be at peace, which is very true....just still hard to wrap my mind around it all.
And it was good to get his mind off things and do something fun. Next year going to try to take him to more trunk-or-treating events because they started here last Thursday or Friday, but couldn't take him because of everything going on

While it wasn't a trend earlier, but now we have kids who dress up in the spirit of Halloween and take part in Truck-or-Treat at our Society.
It's a good thing to do, although in some ways I have certain reservations in this regard.
That is a bit difficult to explain and becomes another topic but in a nutshell, it becomes a question about following another culture vs following what we have in our own culture.
Both things can flourish side by side, but there should always be a balance.
For us, November would be a month for more festivals, especially Deepavali - The Festival of Lights symbolising Hope, Brightness and the Triumph of Good over Evil, although the basic ethos is being lost a bit in the Era of High Commercialization and Pomp and show!
Perhaps the same applies to Christmas as well, at least in some ways.
Signing off with Wishes for a great day !

I am thankful that George and I are pack rats. We actually had trick or treaters today. Sometime we almost never get. I'm also thankful we can restock most of it for basically free. (having friends comes in handy)
