Have you heard of Taylor Swift? I just had a little fun filling out a survey.

I don't do surveys often, but when I do, I try to have a little fun. When they ask, "What is the first thing that comes to mind when you think of this artist?" I fantasize that someone is actually reading my response and laughing. But do you think our responses on survey sites are actually read, or are there bots, or AI, looking for key words in our responses? I have no clue.
I had not heard of most of the artists asked about in today's survey. Yes, Styx was a goofy rock band from my Jr High and High School days. Some of us are old enough to remember "Lady," or something like that. And if I ever have to sing "rock me baby like the wind and the rain..." by Old Crow Medicine Show again, especially in performance, I might puke. I can't remember the name of the song, but @FourWalls will be able to tell me.
When they asked about Taylor Swift I typed:
"Pretty girl with red lips who managed, like Madonna in the '80s, to successfully market a mediocre product."
That was therapeutic. Even @DaddyEvil has probably heard of heard of Taylor Swift. But has he ever heard her try to sing? It's painful.
Anyway, I think I made an extra 35 cents by filling out that survey.
Do you know who Taylor Swift is?
We live in odd musical times.
Photo is of me playing guitar after working on my bridge in Montana. Heh.

I have heard of her and I really like what she did to the "Go Woke, Go Broke" people by becoming a billionaire at age 33 ((She's very Woke and she hates Trump)).
I also like that she's talking hundreds of thousands of kids into registering to vote. Of course, that might backfire on me because if @porwest is right, they will all vote for Republicans.

@xander6464 Your argument is flawed in that it doesn't apply to musicians, actors, writers etc. I know you tried hard to make this argument, but it just doesn't work. Of course, as you know, because I know a thing or two about business and other "economics" things, I could try to explain the dynamics and contrast to you. But you wouldn't understand it.
But I applaud you for at least trying to bring your point back around in another "forum" of sorts. If nothing else I will give you credit for one thing, and that's to get MY goad enough that I will actually go back and forth with YOU, unlike many others or the typical 3 or so people that respond to your posts and actually line your pockets with a few extra pennies. You can thank me later for being your #1 fan, in your small circle of fans of course, who is ONLY your fan to knock you down and drag you through the mud as softly and as creatively as I possibly can. Perhaps you are also secretly a fan of mine since you seem to enjoy engagement with me.
Either way, I assume we'll be chatting again, so I will return this post back to its rightful owner, none other than @TheHorse, who IF we continue our chat, I hope will enjoy some recompense as well for any engagement we may further pursue here.
As for Taylor Swift, regardless of her twisted ideology she can laugh herself all the way to the bank and I am fine with that. In 20 years she will probably end up like Brittany Spears dancing around in bikinis around poles on TikTok or Madonna who seems to have proven that woke MINDS show their madness eventually.
Insanity is a crazy thing. Woke is insane. And insane people look like nuts and make it clear to the world that you may make money today, sure. But when your mind is gone the money won't matter to anyone but the ones who make your lips into balloons and get to go behind you and clean up all the messes you leave.

The song by Old Crow is “Wagon Wheel.”
I know who Taylor Swift is. Now, ask me if I care who she is.

@TheHorse — I can see Taylor semis and Swift semis on the road for free. They sound better, too.

I have heard of Taylor Swift's music when Wordgirl fans would play her songs on You Tube around 2015. I would prefer to listen to the German pop band Modern Talking then her music.

My 15-year-old has started listening to Taylor Swift a lot lately. I try to be patient. I'm sure if I don't make a big deal about it, the phase will pass.

I certainly do know who Taylor Swift is. They anticipate that she will be a billionaire by the end of her current tour. Have a great day.

I think Taylor Swift has a beautiful voice. It’s no Karen Carpenter (I know you’ll get that reference), but she’s got talent. I haven’t heard one of her songs in years, but I really liked her country music (especially”Mean”).
I told my dad last week I got two Taylor Swift surveys that involved Taylor Swift and the Kansas City Chiefs. I even screenshot the ridiculous questions. He said, “Who’s Taylor Swift?” He genuinely had no idea.
And yes, they look at the surveys because I was temporarily banned from a survey site because when they asked about my financial goals for next year, I answered “to find a 6’4 Christian man with great health insurance to marry”. They did not find that as funny as I did.
