It has been a busy morning this morning. Dealing with one good thing and one bad thing. however, maybe it will slow down a bit now. Although the temp is supposed to be around 80 degrees today, it is not very warm in the house. The thermostat is reading 64. I guess we might catch up sooner or later. It is looking pretty behind the house right now with lots of yellows and reds. In front, not so much...lots of browns and the yellows not very vibrant. How is your leaf color now? Do you still have them on the trees?

It's only in the 50s here today with cloudy skies. The trees are starting to lose their leaves already. I didn't get a chance to go out and see the beautiful colors as the Fall arrived.

the majority are still on the trees here, but it is supposed to get very windy shortly so some of them may be blowing off. The driveway if full of leaves.

A lot of the trees have already dropped their leaves but the oak trees are still hanging onto dark green leaves. One more good frost will turn those brown and they'll flutter away, though.
At 6 am, it was 56F but the temp is dropping. It's not quite 11 am and the temp is 48F now. It's still 71F in the house and Pretty doesn't want to turn on the heat until we have to... We shall see how long that will be

This house is good at holding onto heat which is great in the winter..so it has to be really pretty cold for me to turn it on. I do use space heaters frequently though.

@snowy22315 Pretty's room has defective windows that allow the heat to escape and the laundry room has a concrete floor. The rest of the house stays warm for a long time without running the heat.

Wow, snow..they are saying the DC region may have alot of snow this year..we are South of there though..sometimes when it snows there we just get rain..but we will have to see. Hasn't been much snow at all here as of late, but it doesn't mean it can't happen.Ocassionally, we really get dumped on.

Yeah, that's nippy. Most of our overnight temps have been chilly. The last few nights I haven't needed a heater on though. I just use the elec blanket.

@snowy22315 - I use a space heater in the bedroom before going to sleep and I turn it off as soon as we are under the blankets.

@LadyDuck It depends on how cold it is in there if it stays on or off. I kind of like the white noise

That would be nice. I have a couple on my phone I could post..but haven't gotten around to it. I saw a huge field of pumpkins yesterday I tried to photograph but they didn't show up in the pic..the sun was on the camera, and I couldn't really see what I was doing.

@snowy22315 How is the winter in your place? Do you see the sun during the winter? Here it's always gloomy and cloudy every day. A field of pumpkins looks good. Today I took a picture of the sun because we won't see it so often.

It's been raining here almost everyday in this week.. The gloomy days might dampen the spirit of the festival. We have our grandest festival of Diwali this weekend.. I hope that we get clear sky on the festival day.

@snowy22315 Yes, it would. Today morning we got some sun. Now it's sun and clouds playing hide and seek. At least we got some sun. That's a positive sign. Today is the first day of festival. Diwali is on Sunday.

We still have a range of green to brown leaves on our trees. I’d say the majority of leaves are still hanging on, but it won’t be too long before they are gone. After two days of 80 temps, it is 51 degrees right now at 2pm, and I finally got to wear long sleeves.

It will be much cooler here tomorrow It is somewhat windy at the moment which is entertaining Nico as he likes the leaves blowing.

The trees are losing a lot of leaves right now. It's going to be in the 50s for the next several days. I hope your day goes well.

I think maybe the same here..but maybe closer to 60. It is cold and windy now. I should have done my steps yesterday, but I was afraid I would get too hot. It probably won't be pleasant doing them today.
