what is on your to-do list today? Sunday November 19

Since it is Sunday, it is the day of the week that I have to take out the garbage.
I know I make a bigger deal out of it than I should. I think I built it up in my mind to be more than it really is.
I am usually the first person to take it out to the curb as we can't take it out before noon without risking a fine. So I will start gathering everything fifteen minutes before. I have a list of what goes into the bag that doesn't have to go into the last minute and I cross them off as they go in the bag.
also on that to-do list for today is to finish a book on my Kindle
What is on YOUR to-do list today?!

@LadyDuck Great you got back to sleep! I woke up for four or five hours but went back to bed eventually for a few hours. I wake up every night for a few hours or sometimes don't go back to bed at all

I hope you get a good rest tonight after all that hard work. the reason I left was it was noon and I had to gather my garbage but I got it out and it is done for the week! Just have to bring them down tomorrow but that is very easy!'
taking up the garbage made my blood pressure normal when i checked it after lunch!

@LovesEverybody I am watching a series. I like Seinfeld because it's comedy. I feel awful because winter has come.

@dya80dya I haven't seen Seinfeld in a while, but remember it is very funny!
I have been feeling bad because of winter, too. I am mostly because I am always so cold but also the neverending darkness. It will be spring soon enough hopefully

@LovesEverybody I did! But oh, I have more I need to review. I do Amazon Vine.
Do you post your book reviews on any site? I’m sure people would like to get your perspective. I have started looking to see what other people have to say about the books before buying them since I got a couple of stinkers.

Good! What do you review? I decided to write a review for each book I read next year and put the reviews in my reading journal.
Did you finish your reviews yesterday?

@AmbiePam Hooray! Do you write any particular type of review? I sometimes see Amazon Vine reviewers reviewing books. How do you become an Amazon Vine Reviewer?
I tried GoodReads but got discouraged as I might have had fewer than ten likes and I don't think anybody has ever commented on my reviews.
I have started to look for book reviews before getting them from the library or Kindle Unlimited as I recently have read some very bad books

Hubby and I were just talking about that - literally a minute ago. There is too much that needs to get done here! But we also want to spend family time doing something fun. What to do - what to do. First things first - we're making coffee right now - and that's the first thing on the list
. Hope you get all your stuff done!

@LovesEverybody And here we are on another weekend - we have yet to make our coffee for this morning
. I hope you got everything done on your list this past week! I think I got most of it done . . . any of us are fortunate when we have "tomorrow" to catch up.
Yes, crossing it off feels GREAT. Done and out of the way. Finito.

Yes, drink your coffee! I think you should make a to-do list of everything you have to do in order of priority and work on them steadily until they are all done.you can carry on those of lesser priority into the next day if you don't have the time. don't forget after you do them to cross the task off as it makes you feel good.
My peer tells me to add things I did but wasn't planning on doing but did and then cross them off as I put them on and that makes me feel good too. I do that and it makes a difference!
Thanks! I just got done with taking up garbage a little while ago. It wasn't the easiest time I ever had taking it up i am almost done with everything else!

@much2say I did get most of my to-do list done from last week! I am glad you got most of yours done!
I have one or two things left over, but I will at least freeze the turkey today; if not, it will go bad! I will try my hardest for whatever is left!
Yes, crossing something off a list is one of the BEST feelings ever!
I don't remember if I told you about an "I did" list. My peer recently reminded me to write down things I did that weren't on the original list and cross those off!
have a great week!

I rarely make to-do lists. We usually take trash out as we fill a trash bag. Our trash container sits at the curb in front of our house. (Usually, Pretty takes the trash out although I will take it out if the bag is leaking some liquid.)
My eyes are just opening back up so I'm still having trouble reading on myLot. (The white background with black lettering hurts my eyes when they're swelling closed and as they start opening again. Trying to read/write here at the present moment means my eyes are streaming...)
I hope you are having a very good morning.

I hope you start to feel better soon!
I would have numerous fines as there I forget the name of it but if the person has a complaint about the person's yard they can report it. My neighbors use that opportunity. One in particular calls we hear repeatedly as nothing is up to his standards
thank you, yes I am having a good morning! I lowered the head of my bed last night and I didn't wake up coughing, choking, and bouncing around on my bed. for those symptoms, everything online says to raise your head of the bed but when I do that I start to cough, and the rest

@LovesEverybody I'm glad we don't have the same ordnances around our city. We do have an ordnance about how tall the grass in our yards can be, though. The old man who lives on one side of us scalps his yard every few days... I mow every two weeks so my yard always looks messy. I see city people checking my yard all the time but the grass doesn't get tall enough for them to send out a "nuisance notice". (That's what we call it when someone complains about the grass being too tall... the city sends a letter telling the resident to either cut the grass or the city will cut it for them and charge $400 for cutting it.)
You're welcome. I'm glad you slept well last night. I sleep with my head on two fat pillows so I don't choke while I'm sleeping. (I also use a CPAP machine because I stop breathing while I'm sleeping. It's called sleep apnea and is a pain in the patoot.)

@DaddyEvil I think ours is called a nuisance notice but there is a department that handles it. ours threaten fines too.
my sister had a man redo most of our yard this past summer. My sister also got an electric mower and does the lawn.
My dad had sleep apnea and he would throw his CPAP hose across the room in the middle of the night.
It was amazing I slept so well because I slept all day yet fell asleep a second after I was startled. it was my cat jumping on our bed. then I went to bed and slept through for five hours which was good as I fell asleep reading for four hours in the afternoon.

Sunday I went to the grocery store. I also read some more of Mexican Gothic (which I finished today and I loved it.) Tomorrow I'm starting the audiobook of Beacon 23. I also listened to a interesting podcast with my mother on Sunday.

@LovesEverybody Beacon 23 was written by Hugh Howey. It's a sci-fi book about a lighthouse in space. There is a show based on the show on MGM+. The podcast was about a guy talking about how he thinks some temples were made.

I am not sure what I am going to be able to eat on Monday as I am getting a tooth pulled so figured won't buy new food this week and have it sit there because I can't eat it.
I will have food as my sister is bringing over a Thanksgiving dinner as I can't handle going to dinner with more than my sister and nephew. Too much anxiety
I read Mexican Gothic and couldn't stop talking about how much I loved it! while i read it
Who wrote Beacon 23? I don't think I ever heard of it?
What was the podcast about?

That is a good idea to get away from the computer on Sundays. Do you do that any other day of the week?
I want to not spend so much time on the computer. I may take one or two days a week with no computer use

My life is not always predictable. On some days, I might be home all day and end up gone that night because of my son. I might be home to roll the trash can out, and I might not. My neighbors know that and the reason I may not get it done, if I don't do it, one of them do. Likewise, I do for them. I never stress about trash, life is just too full at times, and too short! I only make lists on days that I have appointments to work around, etc. Oh, and grocery lists!

My neighbor's friend has brought down the trash cans if I don't get them down and he sees it. But I have empty cans as I have raccoons and possums that I am petrified will get in the cans so I have nothing for somebody to take up if I don't get to it
My life isn't very full and I have lots of time of stress.
I decided to start writing my four to five-page to-do lists yesterday because I can't be trusted to remember things like if I took my medicine (as I proved to myself yesterday)or brushed my teeth. I feel so good this morning crossing off things after I do every detail of my life. if I forget to add something while writing it the night before, I decide to do it the next day, but I still add it and cross it off for what my peer calls a did list. crossing the items off feels so good! Because of my list, I am positive I had my morning medicine!
Grocery lists take hours to make and I also make lists of what I have to take when I leave the house so I don't forget anything important like my house keys or my purse Of course I cross each item off as I put them on in front of the fireplace in the living room. The fireplace is empty
