I actually have a boring update. We're doing just more waiting. Baring any complications, we'll be out of the ICU soon. For real this time. The hospital wants George's blood to be at a safe place before sending him off to rehab. And, we'll find out more about that as time comes.

@kaylachan — yes! It means things are progressing. Sometimes that’s slow, but when they’re not running around in a big hurry, that means there’s no urgent, critical need in the patient. Enjoy the “boring update.” Sixteen years ago today I spent Thanksgiving in a hospital while my mom underwent three brain surgeries for an aneurysm.

It's good to hear that George is making progress. The anticipation of moving out of the ICU and into rehab is a positive step forward. Waiting can be challenging, but it sounds like the medical team is prioritizing George's well-being by ensuring his blood levels are at a safe place before the next phase.

Yeah. Once they can safely start the transition process, then he'll move to a lower level of care. hen discharged.
