Today's trip to the big Tesco.

We went to the big Tesco again today.
I took a battery with me to put in the battery recycle. When we got there I had another 3 Christmas cards to post that I finished after most of them had been posted. That's used up all my first class stamps! Then I put the soft plastic recycle in the recycle receptacle as usual. And then we went up on the lift.
We got some flowers first, but they didn't have any of the £2.50 flowers so we got two lots of £4 ones instead. Then I went and got an SFX magazine because it was another Doctor Who special.
My Mum started looking at Christmas wrapping paper, but in the end she didn't bother getting any. She said we've got plenty of time.
I got 1 bottle of water this week, and there was only one prawn layered salad left, so I got that and another vegan salad bowl thing with mushrooms in.
My Mum went and looked at the Christmas stuff again and ended up getting another mini Christmas pudding and two more tins of shortbread! We had a look at the Christmas decorations but didn't get anything.
I got some pads for my Mum, then we went to the fruit and veg section. I got my blueberries and both me and my step-dad wanted one head of garlic. Then I got my spring onions and rocket lettuce. Then I got 2 lemons and some pine nuts and my Mum got some pitted dates for my step-dad and some bananas. Then I went into the next isle and got some carrots.
Then we went and got my yoghurts and Mums milk and puddings, then I got my Mum some grated cheddar cheese and some sliced red Leicester cheese. Then we went to the vegan and ready meals isle. I got some scrambled tofu, some non-chicken bites, a vegan quiche, a mushroom and garlic slice and a sweet and sour Quorn thing that I'm going to have for tomorrow's lunch. My Mum got her own ready meals.
Then I got some vinegar for my Mum, and then we got some microwave rice for my Mum and some tamari soy sauce. My step-dad wanted a chicken curry pot noodle, some cockles and a tin of spring veg soup from the canned isle. My Mum wanted some sliced buns but she didn't want any cake today.
Yes, I was quite surprised! So then we went to the drinks and snacks isle and I was looking for some salt and vinegar flavoured pringles but they'd sold out so I got a cheese and onion flavoured one instead! My Mum got a multi pack of crisps aswell.
Then we went to the tea coffee and biscuit isle and got some ginger nut biscuits for my step-dad and my Mum got some rich tea finger biscuits for herself. Then I went to the cereal isle and got some honey cheerios for my step-dad and some flaked almonds for me. My Mum came up and said a chap had asked her if she needed any help or something and she said she was looking for her daughter and she thought she knew where I was, because I'd gone running off! She told him I'm like a whippet! Then she said she wanted some tea and coffee so we had to go back to the tea coffee and biscuit isle! After we'd got them we went to the frozen section.
I got some vegan magnum ice lollies, though heaven knows why!
We got some boxes of chips for my step-dad and my Mum got some jacket potatoes and some fish fingers. I got some more prawns and some more salmon chunks.
After that I got some toilet paper and then we went to pay. It came to just over £152!
By this time it was already 4:35pm and my step-dad comes to pick us up.at 4:30pm! So I had to quickly swap my book at the Tesco book swap while my Mum was putting her change away! I also remembered to put my battery in the battery recycle!
Then we went down on the lift. My step-dad was there waiting for us in the under cover car park.
When we got home, me and my Mum unpacked the groceries and put them away. Then I had my dinner. I washed up when Strictly Come Dancing: It Takes Two was on. After EastEnders I put the new flowers out and I put my fish out to thaw for tomorrow's dinner. After that I finished the initial drawing of the scene I'm going to be painting tomorrow. It's another version of the Street Scene in Provence that I did in art class in the summer.
Anyway, what have you lot been getting up to today?
I hope you are all well.
Have a great night.

I think the hard part of grocery shopping is packing it into your bags while you're in the shop. The items come down quicker than you can pack them away, and then the cashier is waiting for you to move some stuff before she/he can scan more stuff. Then you've got the added stress of a queue behind you waiting impatiently for you to finish so that they can pay for their stuff which puts more pressure on you to go faster, which you can't do and makes you even more stressed out!

@sharonelton - I place everything back in the supermarket cart, I pay, then I move away from the cashier and I feel my bag in no hurry.

@LadyDuck We have the bags in the trolley and I put everything in the bags as they are in the trolley. Then we go down stairs to the car park and transfer the bags from the trolley into the boot of my step-dad's car.

Thank you very much. I hope you have a good night too.
It's cold here too but I'm in bed now right up against the radiator, which is actually hot, shock horror!

Yes, it was a busy shopping day. We usually do have a busy shopping day on a Wednesday.
I hope you enjoy watching your own TV. I haven't watched my TV in ages since I couldn't tune it in. I just watch on the main TV in the living room. And now the DVD mechanism on my TV is up the swanny I can't even watch DVDs on it now, I have to use my portable DVD player!

You should write novels, Shazza. You are very descriptive and good at setting the scene.
Now that 1st class stamps are so expensive I just use 2nd class. You just have to send them in plenty of time! I feel like I’ve already said this to you before?
I’m with your mum in on the shortbread front. One tin is never enough. Nor is the tins of chocolate biscuits.
£152 is definitely a BIG shop. That’s something I would do for the BIG Christmas shop, which I haven’t done yet.
I don’t like Eastenders, but with your name being Sharon, I guess you have to. Get out of my pub!

@sharonelton Your OP is over 800 words long, which almost qualifies as a short story. I am sure with only a little more effort you could extend it enough for @ShyBear88 to add it to her reading list. Of course you’ll have to add a little spice. And I don’t mean cumin. Or do I?

@Orson_Kart Ugh, (eye rolls double time) you don't know but @sharoneIton we don't need spicy to talk to each other. We also don't need to come unless it's for the Dr. You know whom I'm talking about don't you Sharone? Will take him to a Tesco/Target. He's on tonight and I'm down for a yummy treat. Should we bring banana daiquiri?
Also @sharoneIton say as little or as much as you like but I think we both will be to in throwlled that @Orson_Kart will not be missed in action since upgrades will be installed all humanity will be deleted.

I haven't got the patience to write novels! I tried it once and after the first chapter I gave up!
I don't think you have. I just bought myself some new first class stamps today!
Well, the tins of shortbread are supposed to be for presents for other people. I think Mum wants to keep one tin for us and then give the others away.
Yes, it was rather expensive wasn't it? I don't know what we get to make it that expensive!
Oh, I've watched EastEnders since the beginning. There was only one period where I stopped watching and that was when Tricky Dicky was in it, but I got back into it after that.

Oh, Bobby Brazier who plays Freddie Slater in EastEnders is in it! Last week they did THAT dance from Dirty Dancing and it was BRILLIANT! Ofcause Craig Revel Horward or whatever his name is only gave them an 8 but he knows nothing!
