A baby owl on a Christmas tree in Kentucky

This story is very interesting since a Lexington Kentucky resident Michele White purchased a Christmas tree for her home earlier this month so she and her relatives could celebrate Christmas. Michele insists that she had possession of the tree for four days when her carpet cleaner Bobby Hayes came to work inside of her home on Tuesday December 5 when Bobby saw a baby owl sitting on a lower limb on the tree. After Bobby was able to catch the baby owl, he took a picture of the animal and sent a photo of the animal to Michele who thought that the baby owl was a stuffed animal. Michele responded to her close friends that Kris Kringle told her to put Bobby on the nice list since had Michele found the owl, she would have been scared. Bobby did take the baby owl away from Michele's home and placed it outside where the baby owl can find a new home. The good part is that the baby owl is healthy and found a new home in the outdoors. I read about this yesterday. That little owl was good at hiding for so long!

I am glad the carpet cleaner found the owl and got it outside before it got injured or it damaged something in the house. We should always shake live trees before bringing them indoors.

Very strange. It seems that no one who she purchased it from noticed the owl in the tree. What a 'owler of a mistake to make. Let's hope that the baby owl is wise enough at that age to be able to live on its own. It would be hungry already after 4 days on the tree.
