What's for lunch?

I just had an egg on toast. Not a big lunch, but tomorrow I am going to a country buffet. I plan on eating the hot vegetables and maybe a couple of small desserts. This is a place that I thought was gone for good due to the pandemic, so I was pleased to see it back in Culpeper although another location from where it was years ago. My guess is it is no longer a 5.50 buffet...what do you think??? Ha, I wouldn't be surprised if it is at least 10.00 now. Maybe they have a Senior price though.

I had to take some aluminum cans to the no-kill animal shelter in town. I had lunch at Chuy’s (my usual, a half a chicken taco salad).

I think there may be some of those around here but I have never been. I know there is a Chevy's in Short Pump area outside the city. I haven't been there either.

@snowy22315 — I always say that, because I don’t like coffee and am allergic to bacon, that’s more for everyone else. I’m eating the Chuy’s food you don’t.

We had pasta for lunch, I wanted to make a risotto, my husband waited so long to decide that it was finally too late to make it.

@snowy22315 Exactly, I can prepare pasta in 15 minutes, but not a risotto.

I had tortilla soup, and a pine nut and cranberry salad. I stopped by my dad's house after the acupuncturist appointment, and my stepmom offered some leftovers for lunch. They were very good.

I was going to have an egg for lunch today, but since I had to fold laundry I opted for a quicker meal. I popped an English muffin into the toaster and called it lunch. I have a nice beef stew in the oven for supper.

Beef stew would be excellent on a day like today.

@snowy22315 I thought so too, and it is the last package of stewing beef for this hind quarter. I just made up some dumplings and dropped them into the stew, supper will be ready soon.

We recently discovered our supermarket has 10% off for seniors on a Tuesday. It's good to know these things.

Many food shops didn't survive the pandemic. It's sad. But I'm happy that this one is still operational.Enjoy yourself.
