Having Second Thoughts

In the spirit of Christmas I got my colleagues some notebooks and organisers for the next year as a little present. I actually got a dozen of them for every staff at work. Now that I am wrapping them I am starting to worry what if they do not like it. What if it is not useful to them. Now having second thoughts if I should give it to them at all.

That is good to know. I hope my colleagues won't think I am treating them as students. I myself would love to have them. I think they are great for organising.

@jstory07 I wish I could give you one. But the postage might be more expensive than the notebook itself

Why on earth would they not like them? I don't think notebooks are ever not useful and they are very pretty notebooks too. Go for it!

@flapiz I'm sure they will. You've gone to a lot of trouble for them. I'm sure they'll appreciate your efforts.

Trust your first instinct. People appreciate so much when they are thought of, and I bet they will use them. It’s a great idea.

Thank you Amber. I guess I got traumatised by some relatives complaining about how the gifts they received are not good enough. I know a lot of unhappy receivers. But I always think it's the thought that counts.

@AmbiePam Truly I always am appreciative for anyone's gift or favour. My parents thought me to value even little things. Unfortunately some people aren't.

You may as well give them unless the store is willing to take them back.

Me too I like keeping them but if they are too cute I feel bad writing on them.

@LadyDuck Decorative notebooks ahaha . I have to learn to feel less sorry to write on them as they might deteriorate without getting used.

Thank you for the boost of confidence. I overthink things a lot and the holidays stresses me due to my own overthinking.

I think the notebooks are a very nice, personal touch, and that you should go ahead and give them to your colleagues. I think they will really appreciate them. I know I never have enough notebooks (or paper) around when I need to write things down.
