Salvation Army officer Lieutenant Nicole Fullop was surprised that a person who chose not to reveal his or her identity to the public left a wedding band, a wedding ring and a note at Market Basket store inside of the donation bucket in Waltham Massachusetts last Saturday.
The value of the wedding rings is around $1,500 dollars which will be used by the Salvation Army to assist needy persons during the holiday season which can be harsh for some of us since the days are shorter and the weather is harsher in colder sections of our world.

That is true that donating a wedding ring and wedding band to the Salvation Army is odd.

I´m sure that the Salvation Army will make good use of the money they get for the rings.

That I think is a very heartfelt donation. I still have my parents' wedding rings but they are very thin and I think only have sentimental value.

I hope that they don't just sell the rings to a dealer, for the gold content only.
Perhaps if the Corporal of that Army core, has to perform some weddings for some poorer folk, he could give the rings at his ceremony to them.
