My Grandson is Simply Amazing

My grandson is 21 and has a mental disorder that causes him to have delusions and some voices in his head. He is on 4 or 5 medications to combat these things. He spends his time playing video games and building things with Legos or whatever he can find. It is amazing some of the things he has made. He has a big heart and is a great kid. He is so innocent and yet approaches life in such a unique way. Today he came into my room to tell me he had been thinking and had some plans. He wants to start doing more to help out around the apartment and start getting in better health. He also spoke about several projects his mom and I have been waiting for him to do around here. Things we have been waiting for about eight months for him to do. He wants to get healthier and feel more like doing these things. I was pleasantly surprised. I was wondering about these things but was trying to be patient on one and not knowing how to approach him on the other. Things do tend to work out.
