Deputies with the Lee County Sheriffs Office (LCSO) as well as officials with the Florida Fish and Wildlife Commission answered an emergency call from persons who were called to the Coconut Point Mall in Estero Florida to remove a 12 foot alligator that weights 600 pounds on Thursday evening.
How did the huge alligator get inside the huge mall is not known. The good news is that no one was hurt in the incident.
The huge alligator was taken away by the authorities to another area away from the mall where the alligator could be home in his watery element.
The deputies with the LCSO found the work detail of assisting the Florida Fish And Wildlife Commission to get rid of a huge alligator from a shopping mall since it is better to deal with an animal than dealing with a criminal who was involved in robbing customers inside of a shopping mall.

That would freak me out, glad they dealt with him safely. A lot of weirdness happens in Florida though so not too surprising.

That is true since if I was not living in Louisiana, I would like to live in Florida near Panama City or Tampa.

I would hate that to happen where I live. Lot of animals get into unusual places.

@Deepizzaguy We live in wooded areas, so grass can be a problem.

@popciclecold That is true since if the grass grows too high in my neighborhood, snakes, frog and other animals will be in the area.

I know what you mean since my relatives and myself lived in La Boca which is in Panama, due to the grassy area, snakes and frogs were in the area.

@Deepizzaguy I saw a snake in the garden this morning. I'll be being extra careful from now on.

I would be sacred seeing an alligator myself since in my former neighborhood in Lake Charles, there is a levee nearby a river and my fear was to see ether snakes or frogs in the tall grass.

600 pounds. That would take a lot of lifting to remove it from the shopping mall. Maybe the wafting smell of food in there attracted it in there.

I am glad that no one was hurt and that the alligator will go to a place and I hope he or she will be treated kindly. I wonder where he or she escaped from that they got to the mall.

That is a good question since it is very unusual for an alligator to be seen inside of a shopping mall.
