Good morning. George just finished with speech therapy. In a couple of minutes, Occupational Therapy will come in and have an hour and a half to work with him. Then a "lunch" break. Then PT at 1. We'll see about clearing me to walk about the room with him, so I can get him up to use the restroom and avoid accidents. Some nurses are all for helping us, while others are like 'I don't got time for that'. So, if I get cleared it'll make it that much easier. Please wish us luck.

@kaylachan Okay, good. I would hate to think they just didn’t put in the effort. My two best friends are nurses, so I generally have a high opinion of them.

@AmbiePam I am sure your friends can tell you how busy things get. I just hate having to sit on my hands due to safety concerns. And, the more I can do, the less they do.

I've already done it once by myself. Had him wait in the bathroom while I put dry padding on his bed.

Both of you will feel better if you get cleared to help him. Some nurses do not know how to make time for all the things that need done.
