Love is a powerful medicine. It is joyful, the very juice of life. Find those things that give you joy.
Listening is so important. Listen to all around you. The innocence of a child, the sound of a bird. Listen to life around you. Find that joy.
If you can set yourself up for a good laugh each day you will find the day goes better, you look at things more positively and you learn something about yourself. Life is better for it.
Laughter without love is horrible. Laughter with love is happiness.
Humor without humiliation. Find the good, not the bad in even the lowly snake.
Look for humanity and the fulfillment of that special feeling that touching humanity can bring.
If you are looking for the light you will find it. Just a glimmer is all that it takes.
Take the time.

@RebeccasFarm ........I thought you had moved. Did that fall through? I hope you keep your son's papers from the hospital and what the diagnosis was for future use. Hope you can get moved in the spring. Good luck.

You make some good points there.
Yes, when I hear a comedian making cheap humour, it always sound horrible to me, and so that agrees with what you said about "laughter without love is horrible", and perhaps laughter without love is always downputting too, as you also said when you said we should strive for "humour without humiliation."

Comedy without humanity isn't funny. That is why I loathe slap stick like the Three Stooges.

@celticeagle Humour at the expense of someone else, or making fun of certain beliefs, are never funny.
I never liked Mr Bean much either. It was mostly just stupid stuff, not funny stuff.
