Starting late today

I do not think we got any NEW snow, but we had wind warnings all night. Some of the roads in the north part of the county have blown closed. We will start school late this morning. Two hours late, to be precise. I can drive to work in full daylight. Ever since covid, our district and special ed co op have budgeted in pay for snow days and other school closings, so I do not have to use my paid time off or sick leave, but I still will get paid. It is just one way they are trying to keep employees. And it is necessary. I ate eggs and sausage and toast this morning, to help me stay warm for the day. I do not plan to be able to take a lunch today. My teacher may insist, though. So that is what is happening early this morning. Stay warm and have fun. It is -2 F right now, but I am glad it should still warm up.

It's good that you get s**w days. All our schools were closed; but we only got about 6" of s**w. Have a good weekend.

It's really only fair that you get paid for days when you can't get to work through no fault of your own. I hope your day goes well.

Too cold for school in my opinion, but we may have gone to school in temps that cold when I was a kid. Have a good day!

It's good that the district has added snow days into the budget you still get paid if they close. Hope your day goes well and that the weather doesn't get too bad

Glad you get paid for when you are forced to have time off, that would just be so unfair!
