What Happened to Mozilla Firefox?

I have been using Mozilla Firefox as my browser for years. All of a sudden, a few days ago, it won't load. It comes up as a blank screen. Because of that I have been using Google Chrome.
Has anyone else been having this difficulty? I've even tried re-installing Firefox; but that didn't help. Anyone have any suggestions?
Also, when I'm using Google Chrome, new searches do not come up in a new tab or window. I've checked the "Settings" option; and I don't see anything that will make new searches come up in a new tab. Can you help?
Thanks! I want to go back to using Firefox if possible.

I used to use Firefox but now I use Chrome. I also sometimes use Microsoft Edge but that’s mainly to do Microsoft Rewards stuff or if something I’m doing on Chrome doesn’t work properly.
Is there a way to troubleshoot Firefox?

With chrome, you have to manually select and choose the search to open in new window. Chrome Is the best. Sorry about the trouble with Firefox. I wouldn't recommend it. I used to have trouble with it in the past.

I haven't used firefox in ages, so can't really help. I use the Brave browswer and it is what I prefer.

@LindaOHio I use it mainly because it is good at keeping pop ups away. You can also earn crypto using it but I don't bother with that

I don't use Firefox, but I tried downloading it for a survey I was taking online and it got all glitchy on me. I don't think it is good as it used to be.
