So What is Important to Us? / myLot

As Americans and, as human beings what do we expect from our leader in the Oval Office? Do we want a man representing our country who puts down our dead military and calls them losers and suckers? Do we want a man representing our country who respects and looks up to people like Vladimir Putin and Kim Jong Un, and repeats phrases from speeches by Hitler and Mussolini? Do we want someone who threatened to imprison newspaper people and others who have spoken against him if he comes into office? Is this really who we have become? To want someone like this in the office of President of the United States. It's worth thinking about.

I know. I was reading a response from a fellow mylotter. This person is so positive about the Putz. It just drives me nuts. How can someone not see him for who/what he is? Don't they care?

I think a lot of the support of him comes from people with a lot of money. The other half that support him here in the Midwest seem to be people who are (forgive me) kind of redneck-y. Often extremely crude with their actions and words. I didn't even watch The Apprentice. I thought he was simply foul then, too.

Lenore,he's not the only one who is extremely concerned. If he gets back in office, I fear the end of the US is imminent.

You know what I want? The impossible dream. One of my favorite rockers who knows enough about politics and what a nation needs to step up and campaign. Then become President and rock and roll this country to the way it should be. Hey, if that happened I would even head for Washington DC and a session of We Shall Overcome on the White House lawn. Only that is not going to happen and what does happen might be the worst scenario of all.
