Yes, that’s a joke, but the countdown for February keeps a somber tone. Per the request of our dear friend down under @JudyEv I’m doing a list of 29 music people who met their untimely end in an aviation accident, either plane or helicopter. Fear not, in March we’ll be doing songs with “live” or “living” in the title. As usual, it will be alphabetical at first, with the “top” ten at the end. And a note: there are cases here where some or all of a band were killed. Those will be listed under the band name (or the artist they were affiliated with). Plane crashes that took multiple individual singers will have each singer listed separately. You’ll see what I mean in the first three days, promise. For the teaser, here’s Hee Haw comedian Grady Nutt. Most of his albums were a combination of comedy routines and singing. In addition to his work on Hee Haw he was an ordained Baptist minister. On November 23, 1982, after a show in Cullman, Alabama, his plane crashed upon takeoff, killing all three occupants. Nutt was 48. The University of Louisville has a Grady Nutt endowment established in his memory for creative fine arts.

I made it through 15 seconds and had to kill it. lol. As for the month, I can already picture what some of these choices might be. Onward and upward and I will try to be more attentive on your posts from now on.

You’ll probably think less of today’s song, but that’s okay.

I've never heard of him which probably isn't veery surprising. but to die at 48, - that's very sad. RIP. And thanks for the mention, too.

We had a 17-year-old on the list, too. Thanks for the suggestion!
