Electricity bills

Electricity here is very expensive, prices increased in January and a lot of people is complaining about their high bills Our bill arrived and, despite we have installed photovoltaic panels to produce energy in the summer, our bill is still very high. In December It was high too but it seems that, in January, in addition to the light we spent, we were also charged for the sunlight, the light of life and the light at the end of the tunnel With these electricity bills to pay every month, we would be bankrupt in the blink of an eye. Tomorrow I have to go to the electricity company to check that there are no errors on our bill. In any case, we have to find ways to lower the electricity bill, we need to check if there is something (an appliance, the well pump or the heating) that is causing these bills. How are your electricity bills? has it also increased?

I received my bill and I was relieved to find that there is only a minor increase from the past year. I hope there is not an appliance that is causing the problem. May be there is an error.

@nela13 OH MY! The double would be a terrible shock, I noticed a very little increase, not even 5%.

I was shocked at my electric bill this month. There is no reason for my bill to be so high when I am using less electricity than ever before. The electric company raises the rates, and just says deal with it. These companies should be ashamed of themselves, but they obviously aren’t.

@nela13 It is crazy too much money to pay I am sorry. Same for me here in the summer because the AC has to be on..whether I want to or not..the tiny space gets so so hot..not able to live in it.

Mine have increased too. I have to pay the bill today. I think mine have gone up because our washing machine was working right and we ran the dryer a lot.

I know it's not funny but I liked your remark about being charged for all that extra light! We have solar power and our bills aren't too bad at all. The next one might be higher as we've had the A/C on a lot.

@nela13 I hope they find a fault. I mean that in a good way - that there is something wrong and once it's fixed your power bills will go down.

Our electric company is pretty good. They usually lower bills when everyone else raises them. However, with the cold weather we had a couple of weeks ago..my next bill will be very high. I will have to put some of it on my credit card.

We won't put it in the credit card but it is more than the double of what we use to pay.

it adds up but it doesn't make much of a difference especially if I use power saving.
