A male customer who did not give out his name for privacy reasons is being praised by the servers at a cafe in Benton Harbor Michigan who gave a huge tip of $10,000 dollars on Monday. The servers and manager of the Mason Jar Cafe are very happy that the customer who gave the 10,000 dollar tip for his meal was kind enough to give them a huge tip out of the kindness of his heart' The anonymous male tipper had given the huge tip to the servers as a tribute for a friend of his that passed away. The anonymous male tipper had just left a funeral for his friend. I have heard of persons giving huge tips to servers during the holiday season or during the pandemic. Giving away a huge amount of money to servers after attending a funeral for a friend is odd but the employees at the Mason Jar Cafe will accept the huge tip. Rather interesting the feelings that are brought out when we humans feel grief.

We were watching the news out of Detroit yesterday and saw this story. I have relatives who live in Benton Harbour, it is a really nice area, and the story did not surprise me.

I always enjoy seeing this sort of thing. I am also glad when it happens to be something done quietly as it suggests a genuineness to the generosity. It is not life changing money, by any means, for the employees. But if it helps to make their days or weeks ahead a little easier? I am all for it. The tax man will probably take half of it though. lol

I really hope giving that huge tip helped heal the hurt in that man’s heart at least a little. I’m sure his friend would have been proud.
