For our health I am endeavoring to make homemade yogurt more often, and serve it, that is the key. There is a regional dairy store called Braums that has the best milk, always has had. They have now purchased all cattle who produce milk with A2 protein. I am not sure exactly what that means, other than it is supposed to be easier to digest. No, it is not genetically modified, nor are the cows. Their little charts remind me of "blood type" charts. People say the milk has longer shelf life as well. We go to church just outside of Newton, Kansas and sometimes if we need something we go to the Dillons store we like there. Today we were going to Braums as milk is on a special and the only other thing I truly needed was bananas and I knew I could get them there. Signage, and promotions are everything. In addition to being a dairy store with a collection of groceries, Braums is also a "fast food" burger chain. We could not resist getting a couple of their specialty burgers. We got them as combos. It has been a really long time since we have eaten at Braums. In their combos you can get Greek yogurt instead of fries and a malt or shake in the place of a soft drink. So I did. I had a four cheese double stack cheese burger, peach yogurt and strawberry shake. Bob had a barbeque bacon double cheese burger, fries and a strawberry shake. Not super well balanced, but super delicious. I think Bob could live on burgers,sausage, and pizza. I did get two gallons of milk and some bananas as well. Often I set up individual servings of oatmeal in covered glass bowls to be heated as needed for fast breakfasts. They are cooked in the microwave. So I need milk for those as well as for the yogurt. I tell myself I will ONLY get something, but it is always more.
