What are you reading?

I got a notification from the library last night that the book I had ordered from Libby..the ebook app was in. It was Atomic Habits and has been a run away best seller. However, I didn't realize what I was ordering was an audiobook. That is OK though, I can listen to it when I do my steps. I can use my wierless ear buds. It seems really interesting though. I am also reading Dr. Sleep which is not as interesting as the Shining, and the fact that Danny is a drunken drifter going through a series of low wage jobs is pretty sad. I think he may get his act together though. He is taking steps toward quitting his drinking. What are you reading? How is the book so far?

I agree that Dr. Sleep is less interesting than The Shining, I hare (re)read it two months ago. I decided to read all the Hercule Poirot Novels by Agatha Christie. It is a huge book and I am halfway.

Yes, a f I don't really like the tone of it. The whole thing is nasty.

@snowy22315 - Dr. Sleep book is a bit more interesting going on to read, but nothing to do with the Shining.

I have never listened to an audiobook, but I’d like to give it a go. I’m reading a book I’m supposed to do a review on called, “Empowered Witness: Politics, Culture, and the Spiritual Mission of the Church”. I’m used to reading ebooks, but this is an actual book, which is a nice change.

@snowy22315 Oh, lord. I wouldn’t ever pay for the book even if they said they’d pay me back. I have six weeks, but it won’t take me that long since it’s not a thick book. I hadn’t read a book in awhile, and I thought maybe I should start up again.

@AmbiePam Especially since they require such detail in their reviews..They aren't a scam. This place has been around a long time..30 bucks for a book though..I don't think so!

Sounds interesting. I was offered a hundred bucks by a company for a book review..but you had to pay 30 bucks for the book. I tried one for them before where they gave you the book..but the form for the review was so picky, specific and detailed it was nuts. I would only attempt a review again if they gave me the book and 7I had time to really delve into it.

@snowy22315 I finished the book yesterday. The film differed very little from the book which I appreciated.

I am not reading anything. I am watching movies instead. I like audiobooks, but I have to listen to them very often. I get distracted.

No, they do not charge. You only can accrue fines if your books are overdue.

I'm reading An Innocent Client by Scott Pratt and it's really good. I love legal thrillers and it kind of reminds me of the John Grisham books. This is the first book I'm reading by this author. Hope you enjoy your audiobook. I never heard of it.

The only audio book I've listened to is The last reformation by Torben Sondergaard. It is four hours long. Sometimes I prefer listening when I can't concentrate reading. I currently I'm not reading a book.
