I have always enjoyed Dolly Parton. She started singing on the radio when she was 10 years old and is still writing songs. I found a channel on YouTube that is called "Devoted to Dolly". It's old footage from at least nine years back of interviews she did on Johnny Carson, Entertainment Tonight, and some others. I didn't know she had a restaurant in Hawaii. I enjoy her positive attitude. She's always charming and has a fun sense of humor. Sure I enjoy her singing too but listening to her interviews helps me to see the real Dolly. I would like to wander around Dollywood someday but doubt I ever will. I think it's something that she can't read music.

I love how supportive Dolly is. She came out, I think yesterday, putting her enthusiasm behind Beyoncé’s new “country” album. I put country in parentheses because Beyoncé calls it country although it doesn’t really sound too country. The point is, she’s trying something new, something Dolly is familiar with, and she isn’t too stingy to withhold praise. I’d like to grow up to be Dolly Parton. She’s also my brother-in-law’s fourth cousin (no, they’ve never met) which has prompted my 12 year old niece to tell strangers she is related to Dolly Parton. My 12 year old adopted niece is also black, so that gets her a lot of puzzled looks.

I'm glad Dolly came out in support of Beyonce with her "country' song. Maybe it will help Beyonce (not that she needs moe popularly since she's already famous).

She is that. A real angel. She also donated $1 million to COVID research and helped with a monetary donation to her beloved Tennessee when they had that horrible fire.
